“Supplementary heating would be good in the wet and windy Autumn days that we had, as the central heating was switched off during the “summer season” .”

Also the towel rail should be on a separate heating circuit to the central heating as it only heated up when the central heating was switched on in the winter time. Otherwise it was in a good location near the town and well equipped.

It is disappointing to hear that the house was not warm enough for you. I can confirm that the heating is never switched off during the summer months but that I leave the thermostat on low so that people can adjust the heating to their own level of comfort. I can only assume that a previous holiday maker had switched off the heating at the control panel in the kitchen. There are instructions in the house information folder in how to adjust and turn on & off the heating. Also the house is four minutes walk from the Dream Cottages office and I am sure a staff member would have popped up and turned on the heating for you. I hope you enjoyed your stay despite the house not being warm enough for you”. Owner relations

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
