Outlook Lodge

One of the best homes we have stayed in.

Perfect location, lovely safe garden for our dog, and a lovely area, with the sea just across the roadway. Very helpful owner, and very thoughtful. We staying during the hottest days in June, and Val provided our little dog with a small tub which we filled with water, so that she could play in the pool of water to cool down. A thoroughly enjoyable week and would definitely return.

This was our second time staying at the Outlook Lodge and words can't describe the beautiful setting the Lodge is in.

The outlook part is fabulous, as we saw Deer most days seen from the garden. We saw baby rabbits running around the garden. There seems to be a resident Squirrel who is seen most days. There is a Robin always to be seen as though it's his garden. All this is seen though the large Bi-fold doors, which brings the garden into the lodge. Great! The Lodge itself is comfortable and has everything that you could require. We had a great time there and the week went very quickly we should have booked two weeks in this Lodge.We hope to be back there once more.

Cosy, comfortable & extremely spot on with cleanliness. Stunning views for wildlife. We did not want to leave.... if you love Weymouth and do not want to be in the hustle and bustle Bowleaze Cove is perfect. Fantastic walks which ever direction you go in. Thank you Laura. Dan & Lara the owners of Outlook Lodge are very nice and helpful.

You have a designated parking space well off the road and you approach the lodge along a path into its own secluded totally enclosed garden all behind the owners own home. When we went the bed was a new king size orthopaedic medium firm - and very comfortable with a selection of quilts. Even though I’ve suffered with back probs for years I slept like a log down there! All you can hear are birds and waves. In the fields behind the garden you can see deer and foxes in the field and we also saw the resident squirrel and bats at night against gorgeous skies! The lodge has everything you could need. We walked along the front into Weymouth 3x and we are both nearly 70. But equally you can easily travel about in either direction by car and supermarkets and petrol are readily available behind the town a short drive away. The Old Harbour fish n chip shop in Weymouth do gluten n dairy free fish n chips and The White Hart will cater for dietary requirements on a Sunday lunch. We easily visited Lyme Regis and Swanage and also Bovington Tank Museum. Can’t fault the place! We will definitely return if we go that way again. Thank you for a lovely week. Sue.

Outlook property was absolutely amazing.

We couldn’t believe our eyes when we walked in how beautiful it was. The setting is just right looking out over the countryside so lots of animals. The property itself was clean, comfortable, warm cozy everything we could want .the kitchen was brilliant as well. So many utensils pots pans you couldn’t fault a thing about outlook lodge. And it was lovely that we could take our dog. we will definitely be returning next year.

The Lodge is cosy & comfortable & well located to travel to see the places of interest around Weymouth. We were lucky with the weather as well!

We had another great stay at The Outlook Lodge (our 5th visit).

The accommodation is 5* and with the enclosed garden it is perfect for our dog to be let loose. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful too and we have already booked up for next year.

Our second time here and can't speak more highly about Outlook Lodge, we also had the bonus of good weather so enjoyed the garden and the surrounding walks are great

This property is beautiful ,it has been built in the grounds of the owners home, it is very private and looks out over the back garden which is ideal for dogs ,the view as you drive back out of the property are absolutely stunning looking out over the sea .

Just a couple of things to try and Improve would be a bit more storage in the kitchen and a better quality of pillows and bedding and it would have been perfect .

Outlook Lodge is a beautifully maintained holiday home, very clean and modern throughout.

I thought the photos online were too good to be true but they really are a true reflection of this home. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Outlook Lodge one of the best holiday accommodation I have stayed at spotless every thing you need is there the view is second to none the wildlife is fantastic and Weymouth and surrounding coastline is first class.

Love this Lodge.

Return each year. Securely fenced for dog. Varied wildlife visible through the fencing. Saw deer this visit. Have previously seen a stoat and mother fox and her cubs. Squirrels are frequent visitors.

We loved the Outlook Lodge, It is in a great location it is just over the roadway to the glorious Bowleaze Cove, there is plenty of wild life to see from the Lodge.

The lodge is well thought out and comfortable. The one thing that we found helpful was a inset shelf in the shower cubicle and also above the bath which was a great help to the infirm in our party of four. The hosts Lara and Dan were there if we needed them and they are very approachable. All in all we had a very enjoyable weeks holiday there.

This property was one of the best places we have stayed in it was very clean and comfortable with added extra garden space for our dog we will return.

Lovely property in stunning location.

Visited Christmas week and it was the perfect combination of getting away from it all whilst being a few steps to coastal views and walks. Owners were lovely but not intrusive at all. Property was maintained to an exceptional standard throughout. Would love to visit again!

Brilliant holiday yet again.

A perfect property in an ideal location.

It is light, smartly decorated, very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. It was great just being able to walk down the drive and over the road to let our dog run run on the smart green area whilst we enjoyed the fabulous view of the sea across to Portland. Worth taking a pair of binoculars. There is a small Spar shop, fish and chips etc., gift shop, cafe and ice cream parlor 5 mins walk to the left, down on the little pebbly cove and Look Out cafe with inside and outside seating not much further to the right. Lots to do within a 10 mile radius too for all ages and abilities. Loved it.

Outlook Lodge is a lovely place to stay, it's also very private and peaceful .

We used the bus into Weymouth a few times and found it very reliable. Overall we would definitely recommend this place everything you need is in the accommodation and it's very clean. We've booked for next year which is a first for us . Thanks to the owners Colin and Jane

This property is a fantastic place to stay great location all the facilities you need very private with a lovely enclosed garden for dogs to run around and play in.

We have stayed here twice and would come back every year if we could but next year we can not get in as already fully booked for the time we need to stay because of work commitments. The owners Dan and Lara are lovely people very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this holiday lodge to anyone.

Had a lovely stay, really clean and spacious, very secluded and private.

With a fully enclosed garden which meant no worrying about the dog escaping. Hosts are both informative and approachable and the lodge had everything we needed for a great holiday.

Lara Dan are lovely and welcoming this is are second time at the outlook lodge I love it Because when I go to bed I want to sleep and not hear drunk people and kids screaming, but if you walk a few hundred yards you got the fun fair pub with a outdoor TV food it’s fantastic I’m definitely booking again and they allow Dogs

This was our second visit to Outlook Lodge and it was as good as the first visit.

The lodge is wonderful, we could have stayed looking out on the lovely garden all day long. We saw an array of birds, a squirrel who visited often and a deer running past the fence. So so peaceful and relaxing which is what we want from a holiday, with the lodge well equipped and so comfortable. We did venture out though occasionally to visit Dorchester, Portland Bill and Lyme Regis. The local gardent centre was a find this time too, with very good coffee and cake. The view as you leave the lodge is spectacular! Breathtakingly beautiful blue blue sea.....and when you venture out of the driveway it is even more stunning, the most wonderful views of the cove and Weymouth beach. You need not go much further to see such a view. The lodge has got to be in the most beautiful location of any holiday property in Weymouth in my opinion. You will not be disappointed if you book Outlook Lodge and we will certainly be going back. Thank you to the owners for providing such high quality holiday accommodation.

What a lovely lodge, perfect for me and my puppy Bubba.

It was spotless and so comfy and homely. Had a lovely week even though the weather wasn’t great. We had some lovely walks as well as chilling in the garden and indoors. Would highly recommend as the location is great with so much within walking distance or a quick hop in the car when the weather was bad. Absolutely loved my break and would definitely come back.

We had everything there we needed. Maya our little dog loved your garden she was out there all of the time. It was like home from home, and Bowleaze Cove was very pretty even when we had that very sharp cold snap. My husband and I both celebrated our birthdays while we were there and it was perfect. How do you improve on perfection.

First time staying, what a fantastic lodge that was spotlessly clean and well equipped.

Perfect location and extremely quiet and secluded which we loved. Would definitely return (unfortunately not next year as the dates we wanted were already booked).We were lucky enough to be able to check in at 4pm aswell which was very much appreciated as 5pm was rather late.

This is our 5th visit to The Outlook.

It’s just a home from home. We feel so comfortable and relaxed. The lodge is in an excellent position. Handy for the the cafe on the hill with stunning views. The garden is nice and secure for our small dogs. It’s lovely to see the foxes go by and the mischievous squirrels play. Lara and Dan are very friendly. They are there if you need them but otherwise leave you to enjoy your holiday. Already booked for next year. Fully recommend.

It was the fourth time in a row that we have been to the Outlook Lodge and it still one the best places for us to stay, perfect location for dogs (our 12 year old greyhound loves coming back!

). Everything you could want is on your doorstep and if you want to go for a walk then I would recommend going to Osmington Mills its a 2 mile walk over the hills and at the end there is a very nice pub called the Smugglers Inn with great food and beer (recommend the Tangle foot). The cottage is always clean and has great facilities, also we managed to see some deer and the foxes which made an appearance in the field next door! You have complete privacy and we know the owner's are just next door if we need anything. Also we got a text from Dan on the way down to say our cottage would be ready earlier than expected which was a nice touch. We will defiantly come back but as our greyhound is getting older we are not sure when it will it be, though we thought she would struggle this year but I think it gave her a new lease of life...we where the ones trying too keep up!!!

Excellent accommodation great location secluded and quiet spot lovely enclosed garden for our dog which he loved there is everything you could need supplied to use for cooking .

Outlook Lodge is a fabulous property .

..spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, modern and so convenient and everything we needed was supplied...it is also in a superb position across the road from the sea and easy to get to Weymouth and other places to visit. Spar convenience store handy just down the road. 0wner was there if needed but not intrusive at all...we would definitely love to return and highly recommend Outlook Lodge. Lovely no problems whatsoever keep doing what you’re doing

This was our second stay at Outlook Lodge and we still can't believe how wonderful the Lodge is.

It is so clean and well decorated with a "seaside" theme throughout. We feel at home there straight away. Lara and Dan are excellent "hosts" who are at hand should you need them. Last year we had a heatwave during our stay but this year the weather was really mixed. On several days the sun shone in the afternoons and, as the garden is a real suntrap, we were able to relax and enjoy the sun when we returned to the Lodge. No matter what the weather the Lodge is pretty central for sightseeing and suits us fine. We are booked to return again next year and do it all again .

Outlook lodge is absolutely perfect, every credit to Laura and Dan.

The hosts are there if needed but otherwise respect your privacy. We would love to keep this perfect holiday lodge secret but sadly we have to share. The lodge is so quiet and yet so close to all amenities including public transport, we even saw a fawn and a vixen with her cubs in the field at the bottom of the fully enclosed garden. You can hear the sea from the bedroom. We can’t wait to return.

We knew were going to have a lovely holiday when we first set eyes on Outlook Lodge.

The lodge itself is lovely and in an unbelievably superb location. Our main requirement for a good holiday is relaxation and Outlook Lodge made this very very easy to achieve. The Lodge is completely private and amazingly quiet. There are birds of all kinds (including a Woodpecker) coming into the garden. There are large tri-folding glass doors through which you can view a nice garden and the fields beyond. Open the doors and you feel as though you are sat outside but without an April breeze, and instead of garden chairs you are sitting on a comfy sofa! The lodge has everything you could ask for in a holiday home and is moments away from a vantage point where you can see the whole of Weymouth bay. We were blessed with good weather and the Weymouth coast line is absolutely stunning. We can see now why Outlook Lodge is so popular and so to ensure we are able to stay again next year, we booked online before out holiday was over, for 2024! Thank you to the property owners for making Outlook Lodge such a wonderful place to spend a holiday. We can't wait to return!

Perfectly enclosed garden for the pooch. Very clean. Lots of pots, pans, plates etc. Nice option of bath or shower. Everything in good order. Close to the beach and coastal walks. Weymouth has a pretty port with many eateries and great supermarkets if dining in. Thanks Dan.

This was our 4th visit to The Outlook Lodge.

We feel very comfortable in this property. It’s in a great quiet location but close to amenities. Beach just a short walk away with the Lookout restaurant on the doorstep plus fish and chips. Our dogs love the enclosed garden. Both Dan and Lara are great hosts. There if you need them but otherwise leave you to enjoy your holiday. The outlook is equipped with all that you need. We don’t normally return to holiday cottages but this one is an exception and we will be back.

Outlook Lodge was everything we wanted .

.. and more! The Lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything there to make it feel like home from home. We had looked at the photos of the property and garden several times online and couldn't believe that they were even better once we'd seen them "in the flesh"! We met Lara and Dan and they were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The Lodge is well situated to go to so many places. We love the seaside and Weymouth and Swanage are our favourites. The Swannery at Abbotsbury is worth a visit but make sure you are there at one of the mass feeding times of 12noon or 4pm. Quite something to see. We are already booked for next year - looking forward to it already!

Very clean. An enclosed garden which was great for our dog. Fantastic location near to the beach and other well known attractions. Would highly recommend.

The owners have thought of everything, very clean, very easy to find and appliances easy to use.

The only negative would be 5pm is very late to check in as you gzve to kedge at 10am on departure, you are basically paying for 2 days your not there. Will definitely return though

The outlook lodge is ideally situated, close to the sea, quiet and convenient for visiting the Jurassic coast. The owners are very welcoming and the lodge is warm and very comfortable. We highly recommend this lodge.

Could not improve on perfection.

This is the second time we have stayed at Outlook Lodge in 2 years I got to say we could not recommend it enough.

The location is perfect as you can just cross street and you are at the beach and within about half an hours walk you can be in Weymouth. We have a greyhound and the amount of walks are amazing and most places welcome dogs into the their establishments. The owner's are very welcoming and on our visit this year we noticed the Wi-Fi was not working and we weren't to worried but decided to let them know a couple of days later and they sorted it out while we where out for the day, so when we got back we found we the internet plus they had left us a bottle of wine which I thought was a very nice touch. I would definitely recommend staying.....also we have booked for next year!!

Clean and comfortable accommodation. Friendly owners. Rebooked for a return next year. We just love it there. Ideal garden for dogs. In a brilliant location close to everything but set far enough back to feel more secluded. Fully recommend.

We spent 5 days fantastic at Outlook Lodge.

The lodge itself is perfect- it was clean, well-equipped and large enough for my family of 4, plus dog. The lodge felt completely private, despite the owners house being close by, and the garden was fully enclosed with great views across the fields. The lodge was located in a great position, it literally takes a couple of minutes from the lodge to the sand at bowleaze cove.

This is a beautiful lodge in a lovely location.

It is perfect for chilling and walking. Beautiful scenery and private and secluded. Can't recommend this holiday home highly enough. Just superb.

HOME TYPE COMFORTS WITH SEA STYLE DECOR TO OUR TASTE

When we got to the Outlook it was very clean and we were given great information about the place.

We felt comfortable right from the start. Lovely place to stay with an enclosed garden for our Jack Russell to run around in. Nice and secluded but close to the beach. We had the hire of.a mobility scooter from a local company abc it fitted in the bin shed so that was good. Really enjoyed our week in the Outlook. The weather was kind to us. We didn’t see our hosts but knew they were there if we needed them. Sad to leave. We will be back.

We were at Outlook Lodge last year and we were keen to go back again.

It did not disappoint. Excellent accommodation excellent location.

The property was beautiful and exceptionally clean and beautiful views over the country side from the garden and lounge.

Look out for the deer and foxes in the evening in the field. The beds were comfy and the whole lodge furnished lovley. The kitchen had every utensil needed to cook with, as due to covid we didnt eat out. Its ideally situated to the beach and a short but steep walk down to the sea, fantastic location accessible to weymouth and other surrounding areas. Plenty of supermarkets in the area to shop in. The owners of the property were lovely and didnt disturb our holiday but we knew if we needed anything there were there for assistance. Will deffinatly book again in the future.

Absolutely spotless, the best location.

Very private, lovely hosts. Couldn't have asked for more. Probably the nicest place we have ever stayed. Spacious,clean, well equipped, brilliantly located, lovely garden, comfy beds. We have been to weymouth several times and holiday in the uk often, and despite covid, it was one of the best holidays we have had. Would definitely recommend.

The holiday was wonderful!

from organising to leaving, it was a very positive experience. Outlook Lodge was just off the road leading to the beach, that we took advantage of daily with both our son and dog. On arrival we met the very friendly and helpful owners who asked if we needed anything and then kindly left us to our own devices with the knowledge that they were available if needed. The lodge itself looked brand new and was exceptionally clean. Towels and bed linen were provided and ALL facilities were to a high standard and suitable for any family with a dog. The outside suited our curious Cocker spaniel as it was secure and well kept. The situation was ideal for visiting all the Dorset attractions and we chose to visit a couple of the popular ones like Durdle door and Cerne Abbas early evening to avoid the crowds as they are only a short half hour drive from the property. We were only a couple of miles from Weymouth supermarkets making it easy to do our holiday shop quickly at the start. Overall we had a tremendous time in Dorset and in particular at the Outlook lodge that is a very peaceful and private property to relax in.We would advise anybody to visit it!! And before you think it, we weren't paid to write this!! It actually was this good!!

A little gem of a place.

It was just unfortunate for us that Bowleaze Coveway was affected by power cuts the week we arrived, which in turn affected our enjoyment of the lodge.

We (2 adults + 1 dog) stayed here for 2 weeks in Sept/Oct 19.

Very beautiful cottage: very clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated (pictures, furnitures, small details). Awesome bathroom and a nice little garden. Property lies a fee metres seperated from the road, so it is very quiet. Nevertheless everything you need is located within walking or short driving distance. Highly recommended!

went to your office during our stay and was disappointed that we were unable to make a provisional booking for next year.

Told we had to phone sykes . When we phoned sykes we were told that provisional bookings were no longer available, so we had to make a firm booking paying the deposit for next year a lot earlier than in previous years.

The Lodge is perfectly situated.

Close to all facilities, yet secluded and private. Was able to park car and walk or use the regular and reasonably priced bus service when necessary.

My wife and I have stayed at Outlook Lodge for three years in succession now, always in May around our wedding anniversary, and for us the location is ideal for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

Being retired but still busy people all year round, the seclusion and just the right amount of privacy we have experienced at the Lodge makes for the perfect relaxing break. Each year the weather has been great allowing us to opt for spending the days in the garden sunbathing and the evenings strolling on the beach or countryside, or we can choose to visit any number of the many attractions in Weymouth or elsewhere in Dorset, Reading thro’ the visitors book, we note that many other folk are of the same opinion, and return each each year to this lovely place. The first year we stayed here the Lodge was virtually brand new and we loved it’s modern layout, facilities and homely ‘seaside’ decor which are a testament to Dan and Lara’s hard work and care they have put into making the Lodge a great holiday home from home. and that care is really appreciated. As a holiday home we can find little that could be improved or changed, however, Dan and Lara asked for our comments or observations and so with a view to being of help we would suggest the addition of eggcups for our boiled egg breakfast (yeah, I know it’s picky !) and also we noticed the patio windows were in need of cleaning inside, ( likely overlooked this time as never been noticed before). We have already booked for 2020 and look forward to seeing Dan and Lara again, God willing.

We loved the lodge, it was spotless, modern and stylish and the accessibility to the beach and country walks was unrivalled. We had a fab holiday and expect to return there soon.

Really, Really lovely. The Lodge is exceptionally clean; close to everything you need, walking distance to Weymouth with Bowleaze Cove on the doorstep. I loved being able to see the sea from the bedroom window. Located in a lovely quiet area. Lovely extra touches like chocolates and toiletries. The Lodge was exceptional. From the first impressions entering to everything within the lodge. It was spotlessly clean, the bed... well the first thing we did when we got home was to order one!!!! Fantastic few days for my birthday! The lodge is gorgeous, immaculate and well equipped, a credit to the owners. can imagine it's fantastic in the summer with all the doors open to the garden. Great to watch the wildlife ad to have seen a rabbit in the garden, bats in the evening and even an owl fly over. The lodge is nice and warm and the beds are comfy. We have had an amazing holiday and found the lodge to be very well equipped and a comfortable place to stay. The nautical decor is outstanding and it is made a perfect base for us to visit family and all our favourite attractions. We have had a fantastic holiday, our batteries totally recharged. The lodge is stunning a real 'wow' factor in a beautiful location. We have been out and about by car, on foot, found many dog friendly pubs where you can have a lovely meal. We would recommend 'The Springhead' about two miles from here. The garden is safe and secure for our dog willow. Garden furniture was perfect when weather was permitting, but even the weather has not dampened our spirits. We are sad it has come to an end, the week has flown by and we will be back – stayed July 2017

Lovely week pottering around Weymouth, the lodge is beautiful and equipped with everything you need. The garden is a sun trap and so safe for our little dog Evie. So nice to relax somewhere so peaceful yet so close to shops, restaurants and beautiful walks. The Lookout café dopes amazing breakfasts, the fish and chips at Bennetts on the Old Harbour are superb, the Tea Room also worth a visit. Loved walking around the Nothe Gardens and Portland is spectacular. Will definitely be back. Stayed July 2017

We have had a fantastic holiday at Outlook Lodge. We have felt so at home in this beautifully decorated and looked after place. Everything is lovely and clean and comfortable – thank you. We enjoyed eating out in the garden with the countryside views. We have enjoyed walking the dog on the cliff top opposite the lodge and down on the beach below stopping for yummy food and drinks at The Oasis Café. Gorgeous sandy beach in Weymouth and fun rock pools at Newtons Cove. We also visited Lulworth Cove and Charmouth to do fossil hunting with our dog. We also had a lovely time visiting the lighthouse at Portland Bill, thanks for the recommendation, we would love to return one day. Stayed July 2017

We've only just arrived but have to write and say how gorgeous the lodge is. It is immaculately clean! So warm, clam and welcoming. Really looking forward to our stay her. Outlook Lodge provides excellent first class accommodation, very clean, very well presented. Clearly the owners have not cut corners when building and dressing this. The Lodge was built to a very high standard in 2016 and the first guests arrived in February 2017. We first stayed here in May of that year and immediately loved the place. The modern construction of the lodge itself made it easy to live in and everything was new and of a high standard. But for us, the best thing was the seclusion and its location. Although it is set within the grounds of the owners house, we were impressed by the privacy and yet the outlook over rolling fields and countryside, yet only 100m from the sea. We love it so much we have booked for same the week 2019..... Oh, by the way, we have had fantastic weather each time we have stayed ....? Stay (most recently) May 2018
