“Another lovely holiday in an excellent house.”

The changes made have made Poppies even better. The only improvements that we can think of are to possibly add another step outside the front door as it is a bit of a problem for those with a mobility walker getting in & out Or a handle by the door is another option

The property

Poppies is a charming two bedroom mews style property in Kellaway Court, Weymouth.

The stylish interior of this holiday cottage cleverly combines characterful features with contemporary touches that all bring the property up to date, whilst losing none of its original charm. The sitting room with its grey and red contemporary décor is a perfect place to sit and relax as a family, playing games and having fun.

The bright kitchen with bar table and chairs allows you to sit and chat whilst preparing a bite to eat.

Upstairs you will find two light and airy bedrooms, a double and a twin.

This property is just moments from the harbourside, where you can sit and enjoy a drink in one of the many pubs or restaurants.

Or maybe sit on the harbour wall and enjoy a spot of crabbing with the family.

The property is situated in Kellaway Court; an attractive, gated development in an area which, for hundreds of years, was used for brewing beer.

Whilst beer is no longer brewed in the location, many of the historic buildings remain and add to the character of the Quay area.

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!

Note: Allocated parking in electronically gated area.
Please note: This property is only able to accept a Friday changeover and a minimum 7 night stay
Note: Fayre In The Square (usually late May Bank Holiday weekend each year) and Wessex Folk Festival (usually first weekend of Jun each year). These fantastic free festivals see the harbour and Hope Square closed to traffic. With live music, entertainment and stalls throughout the weekend. This may cause some inconvenience due to some road closures and parking restrictions. Should you require any further assistance or clarification on this please do not hesitate to contact us.
