Great appointment in a lovely location ,4 adults and toddler stayed plenty of room - would have been nice to have 2 toilets.

Apartment very warm especially in this weather would have been perfect with some air conditioning. Comfortable beds and seating

A beautiful property in a superb location.

The property was furnished to a very high standard and was well equipped - with the exception of a fan which would have been welcomed in the extreme heat (thankfully we had packed one which we could move about) given that the apartment benefits from the sun all day long amd there being no blinds in the lounge or kitchen. The parking space was very tight and we don't have a large car - this should be highlighted during booking process especially as other occupants aren't always considerate of others and resulted in numerous difficult manoeuvres for us to get out (thankfully the guest in the space next to us was considerate). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Starting as a young couple then a family and now a slightly older couple. This has to be the best accommodation we have stayed in throughout that time. It was absolutely perfect in every way. Great location and such a nicely laid out clean apartment. Will miss our morning walks around Nothe Gardens and the harbour. Opening the windows and listening to the birds singing. Will definitely be returning.

Overall, as a small family, we had a good stay here.

Within a gated complex, it proved a secure, charming, and quiet choice by the delightful Nothe Gardens, and just a quick ten minute drive to the busy harbour. The parking spot given was good, yet when an SUV was regularly parked in the bay behind us it meant it was tricky and required more care to reverse within a tight corner. The apartment was modern, clean, warm, well-equipped, with good wi-fi, bright, and nicely furnished as in the photos. As a welcome pack, there were plenty of tea bags, some coffee sachets, and sugar provided. However, we would have benefitted from some milk and biscuits as well after what had been a long drive. We really liked the partial view of the sea from the sunny living room windows, it was better than expected, and, the big smart TV. The kitchen was all easy and reliable to use. Though, we came to realise the oven, when switched on, was a bit loud and we found that it was very hard to open the kitchen window. We liked both the lovely walk-in shower and bath-shower, and, mirror which lit up, yet had to keep the blind down every time we opened the bathroom window for privacy. Bedrooms were comfortable and very quiet at night. The larger bedroom had ample wardrobe-drawer space; the twin bed less so, although it had some space under the beds also light from the outside security night light peeked through the black-out curtains, so an eye mask did help us in this particular room.

We have stayed in this apartment a number of times and love to return year on year, we have already booked for next year.

The apartment is always immaculate and spotlessly clean. Admirals Quarter is great for visiting all that Weymouth offers. It is heartening to see that the regeneration of Brewers Quay is almost complete. The mattress in the master bedroom could do with replacing, the support has failed on the edges resulting in loud creaking noises.

When coming to Weymouth, we book Newton's Cove View if it is available.

The location is quiet. It's near the Nothe Gardens and it is within walking distance for the RSPB reserves and going out in the evening for a meal. It is a lovely apartment.

It has all that you require for a lovely holiday. Excellent pub nearby (Red Lion).

Lovely comfortable apartment which was stylishly decorated with good quality fixtures and fittings.

Kitchen was well equipped. I would say that it is probably one of the best holiday lets that I have ever stayed in. The area where the apartment is situated is lovely and very close to the harbour, walks and Weymouth town centre is just a short stroll away. Lots of pubs, cafes and eateries close by. We did have a very small problem, which actually rectified itself, but the communication and service received from the owner of the apartment and Sykes was excellent.

A very well appointed and comfortable apartment in a quiet area.

We visit Weymouth relatively frequently as one of our sons and his family live in Lodmoor and I would say it was one of the best we've stayed in. Great to have parking, not a big space but there's always the Nothe long stay car park next door if you drive an SUV.

Nice and clean. Location was excellent! Only downside was the mattress in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable. Was too firm. Didn't have the best nights sleep and had a sore back the next day. Would love to stay again but the bed is putting us off.

Exactly as described.

Spotlessly clean , spacious and comfortable. Partial seaview better than expected. Gated parking very convenient. Apartment was in easy walking distance of many eateries and the centre of Weymouth just a little further over the bridge,( with even more pubs/ restaurants) ! Not completely on the level as the apartment is on a bit higher ground.

This is the second time visiting and the place is lovely but cleanliness during summer is an issue.

Basics were done but a deep clean was needed. Skirtings dusty, tiles in bathroom and door in bathroom need cleaning as examples. Also no change of bedding or towels during the 2 week stay feels a bit cheap given had I booked as two separate weeks the flat would have at least had a change and basic clean. Only other thing to mention would be the bathroom, window always needs to have the blind down due to flat opposite. Would be good if it was frosted or a frosted blind so light can still get in.

A modern, very comfortable and well equipped apartment that was spotlessly clean.

Parking can be challenging, particularly when adjacent bays are all in use, but manageable with a bit of patience and some 'tight spot' car manoeuvring skills!

Excellent property in an ideal location, however we were surprised there was no welcome pack and no spare toilet roll.

This was by far the most expensive cottage/ apartment we have hired and the first time we have not had a welcome pack.

We love revisiting Newtons Cove View each year, it is one of our favourite holiday destinations.

The property has everything that you need for a home from home holiday experience. Its close proximity to harbour and Nothe Fort is a major positive, with many great walks close by. We have already booked for next year and would ask that the bushes behind the already tight car parking space be trimmed back, at present it is impossible to open the car boot.

We have hone away with Sykes a few times.

The only thing that I felt let us down this time was. We have always had a few teabags tea and a small bottle of milk. Just a small thing but when you have drove a few hours then ut makes a difference. But our stay was lovely. Can't wait for the next one.

A really lovely well equipped apartment in a superb location a few minutes walk from the old harbour and Nothe Fort and Gardens.

Very comfortable and spacious rooms and lovely view from the lounge out to Portland. The only thing to be aware of if you are staying when it is cooler/ colder is that there is no effective heating. The boiler heats the radiators using moist air from kitchen & bathroom. We were there around Easter when it was wet, windy & chilly and radiators were only very luke warm. Fortunately an immersion heater so plenty hot water.

Good weather for our stay made for a great holiday. Others have commented on the challenging car park space. When all neighbouring residents are parked, it is not easy- especially the first time, But not impossible,. Location just a short walk to the old harbour ,shops ,and eating establishments. My family and myself enjoyed our stay.

We love Weymouth and have never stayed this end before. We definitely prefer it. The lights and boats by the old harbour are beautiful. We parked in our designated space no problem with our Nissan Quashqai. The accommodation was lovely and we had everything we needed.

We have stayed at Newtons Cove View a number of times and as usual it was spotlessly clean on arrival.

It is not the quietest of locations as it is overlooking the bin store and the outside areas have a gravel covering which amplifies footsteps and traffic movements, Our visit this year was blighted by roofing maintenance being carried out on the development. Workmen noisily arriving at 7.30am and parking outside our apartment, skip and material store were sited directly across from our bedroom. Hoist generator running for hours making it impossible to enjoy a relaxing holiday in this lovely apartment. We have already booked for next year, we have our fingers crossed.

Everything was as expected and a very good standard.

A fabulous location and lovely accommodation.

Will definitely return. A couple of minor things that could be thought about in furture: There was no shaver point so nowhere to charge a toothbrush or electric razor. We took our shoes off on entering the hall, as requested, but it would have been more tidy if there had been a rack to put them on, for which there was plenty of room - also a coat rack would have been handy! We used the boiler cupboard to dry our towels so no room for coats in there.

Would to have been nice if they left a tea/coffee for a drink on arrival.

And could hear people above but wouldn’t put us off staying there again

We were pleased to see a separate shower cubicle which was great, even though this wasn't mentioned on the information. Lovely quiet, peaceful area and we would recommend it to anyone.

We were really pleased with the quality of the accommodation.

The flat seemed relatively new and exceptionally clean. It was well equipped and cosy. Both bedrooms had a tv so the kids could have a bit of time to themselves (which helped when the weather was bad and we couldn’t get out). The location was great for us. Its a 10 minute walk from the centre of town and we loved being near to the harbour and Nothe gardens. The parking is secure due to being a gated community. Nice view of the sea and Portland. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Stayed in this apartment quite a few times - please reduce times back to 3pm as we had to clean the apartment ourselves.

Also the security light opposite the bedroom lights up the room most the night could do with blackout curtains. Apart from this had a lovely stay again thankyou

We had a lovely week in this flat.

It is in a quiet location and having a parking space was a bonus. The flat is very nicely furnished with a good kitchen and bathroom. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and would definitely consider booking again if we come to the area.

The earliest access time of 5:00 pm is not acceptable.

It effectively cost us half a day's holiday. The reason given for this is cleaning due to Covid. This should always have been the standard of cleaning and is not an excuse for such a late time. 3:00 pm should easily be attainable. The property is excellent, the refurbishment was much appreciated. However, I would not book again if 5:00pm is the entry time.

As we have used this property before, the seating furniture in the main lounge area and the upgrade within the bathroom, both are for the better.

Would benefit with having a couple of outdoor chairs to take advantage when the weather dictates on communal grass area if possible??

This was a great place to stay and my family had a wonderful time.

I would happily stay here again. The only negative was the parking was quite tight. Fortunately there were not cars in all the bays each time we came to park. On one occasion with a car parked in bay 19 it was quite difficult although manageable by reverse parking.

We have stayed at this property a number of times an d enjoy returning each year.

We have already booked for 2023!. The refurbished bathroom and new furniture has made a huge difference to the ambience of the apartment. The shower is a definite plus for us oldies. Before staying in Newtons Cove View we stayed at another apartment in the block, we are both convinced that the very awkward parking space now designated for apartment 20 was apartment 18, the number sequencing also suggests this. I can only surmise that a resident has swapped places. The parking space is almost impossible to exit with large cars parked in 18 and 21, only negative.

Not enough comfortable seating for 4 adults nowhere to put toiletries in bathroom had to take shoes off in stairwell as not wanted in apartment terrified of marking floor snd loosing deposit so didn’t move chair do couldn’t use table

Sofa has bad stains on there needs replaced really.

We had to clean fridge etc our selves & new pans and utensils required

Ideal for families as close to main beach and the pebble Newton’s Cove. Had wonderful meals at Al Moro, Nothe Tavern, Dorset Burger Co. Would love to stay again!

Lovely property in a great location

Nice apartment close to centre of Weymouth, but still in a quiet area.

Walk of 400 yards down the hill and you are by the quayside. Only minor issue was lack of cleaning items which meant all we could do was a minor clean before we left, would be good to have some toilet and kitchen cleaner provided. Car park place is tight, if every other space occupied, and had a big car would be interesting getting in and out

The apartment was exceptional.

Very comfortable and clean. Close distance to town. Only criticism is that we could have done with a larger pot for cooking. Thanks so much. We loved it.

This apartment was lovely in all ways.

Our only criticism was that the double bed was to firm. This maybe a matter of opinion however. Parking was great right outside lounge window. We have been coming to Weymouth for years and this stay was excellent

Our relatives stayed in a Dream Cottages apartment the same week. Fortunately for them they've already received a discount code and booked for next year. We'd like to do the same but we would like to be offered a discount too.

Nice apartment. Kitchen is a little dated. More teaspoons please. Would have like a full inventory as we brought quite a few items that were not on the generic inventory that were in fact provided. Parking is very awkward in the allotted space for this apartment.

We enjoyed our week in this property but there are some improvements which could be made: The boiler is noisy (perhaps an issue with design, installation or service).

Some areas of the bathroom look as though they have only been cleaned superficially and not been properly cleaned for some time (grouting on floor and side of bath). There was little "extra" equipment (only 2 toilet rolls for the week, a very small amount of washing-up liquid and 3 dishwasher tablets. No extra waste bin liners. We have been using rental accommodation for over 45 years now and the supply of these items seemed quite sparse. The parking space is quite tight.

yes the BOILER needs sorting out NOISE got woke in middle of night sounds like its going to explode.

Have been before to property before but would not now go back. You go to get away and have a good night sleep.

September 2019: This is the first time I have ever booked a self catering accommodation and felt so underwhelmed and so unwelcome.

The property failed on quite a number of points, as follows: 1) The boiler was incredibly noisy and lead to disturbed sleep on a number of nights for all of us staying at the property. We had to keep the internal doors closed at all times to try and reduce the noise level. I did try to call the owner in the first instance as directed by the property folder but there was no response to my call and no facility to leave a message. The problem was reported to office on Monday 23rd Sept, where we told someone would be out to look at the boiler on the day. I received a call on Friday 27th September to say that the owner didn't believe that there was a problem and it was a known issue! This is completely unacceptable and really put a dampener on our holiday experience. 2) The bed linen and towels were stained in places and need to be replaced. Yes they were clean but they were old. 3) The wifi was intermittent and worked <50% of the time. 4) The only guides to the local area were in the folder and were basic. I would have expected up to date leaflets / brochures of surrounding attractions to be available in the apartment. A visitor book is also useful to learn what other people found as good experiences. I suspect with the issues re: the apartment (as per my list), the owner is nervous to do so. 5) The apartment was very unwelcoming. The only items in the kitchen on arrival was salt & pepper. After a 5hr driver, perhaps tea, coffee and a pint of milk would be a welcome site... Similarly, I don't know how a family of 4 would be able to cook meals for themselves with such small pans. The kitchen bin also needs to be replaced as it is broken. If you are going to book this place and stay for a week, be prepared to bring everything with you from cooking oil to bin bags. Luckily I booked out of season, I would have been extremely disappointed if I had paid full price at peak season.

The parking space is awful for the property which is such a shame.

Sadly not a lot can be done about that though.

Difficulty in parking given the tight space afforded to the two cars outside the property.

The couple parked next to us failed to move the car for their entire stay, due to the difficulty in parking and we felt the same. Also the heating was an issue with noise from the boiler constantly and needs to be looked at as it would make banging noises all day and night. But the apartment was very nice and clean. But the people using the bin store opposite the window made it difficult to relax with people looking in.

First class heating system providing a lovely cosy apartment.

We had a three year old in our party and found the apartment safe and secure. It was also convenient to come back to a gated community and know there was a secure parking place. all in all we had a fabulous week with wonderful weather, although it was February. The position of the apartment is very convenient for the town and within walking distance to restaurants and bars.

This property is wonderful, 100% comfort, spotlessly clean and having such big windows it was so light and bright. Situated out of the way of all the hustle and bustle but five minutes walk from everything you could possibly need. Beautiful surrounding areas, Nothe gardens just stunning and just a few minutes walking distance. The short walk to the harbour is lovely with pretty bistros pubs and cafés. We had a fabulous week as always in Weymouth. The property is in a great location close to Brewers Quay and the harbour and is really nicely done inside with everything you could possibly wish for when staying there with a family with great views from the living room looking out over Portland. Wifi helped to keep the children entertained and the allocated car parking space is a godsend. Superb accommodation, lovely comfortable furniture, great size rooms with big windows so light and airy, doesn't feel like a holiday accommodation, it feels like a home. So easy to walk to wherever you want to go, Nothe Gardens one way, the harbour and Weymouth town and beach the other. Love it here .
