“We have stayed here many times before and this time, just like the others, did not disappoint.”

The flat is comfortable, clean, has everything you need and an added bonus of a welcome pack. The beds are comfortable, include the trundle bed and the location is second to none. This means you can park the car in its dedicated space and walk everywhere - beach, local shops, best fish and chips - Bennetts, pubs (Kings Arms has a good range of drinks and priced extremely well) and a personal favourite, The Nothe Fort. The windows can be problematic, especially when closing the knes in the ...

The flat is comfortable, clean, has everything you need and an added bonus of a welcome pack. The beds are comfortable, include the trundle bed and the location is second to none. This means you can park the car in its dedicated space and walk everywhere - beach, local shops, best fish and chips - Bennetts, pubs (Kings Arms has a good range of drinks and priced extremely well) and a personal favourite, The Nothe Fort. The windows can be problematic, especially when closing the knes in the front room and main bedroom but once you work out how to do this, it is okay. The WIFI can drop out from time to time but does not really impact your stay. The local fluffy cat may make an appearance which just adds to the stay! Only suggestion I would say is to provide fans especially if you intend to use the second bedroom for children. My family and I have already booked for next year as we like the flat so much and fulfills all our needs. Thank you, so much.

“This is the second time we have stayed in this property and we have been very happy here.”

It’s great to be able to park the car and forget it for a few days. Our only complaint would be that someone turned the boiler off so we had no hot water but fortunately there were instruction books for all appliances so we were able to sort it. The welcome pack is also a lovely touch,specially the fresh milk in the fridge. We hope to return again soon.

“This apartment all be it small Is perfectly formed.”

It’s very well equipped and maintained. The single bedroom is very small especially if you need to have both beds out but for what we needed it was fine. It’s in a lovely location behind gates, it’s quite a busy little area with lots of people in and out. The gates could do with oiling but they are not loud enough to cause a problem. I couldn’t get the extractor fan in the kitchen or bathroom to work but not sure if they didn’t work or if I was doing it wrong. The key safe was easy enough to find and use upon arrival. The washing machine and clothes airer was a bonus as it allowed us to wash our beach stuff daily. The little tea/coffee/biscuit hamper on arrival was a nice touch & was appreciated along with a few basic cleaning bits

I will let the management company responsible for the communal areas know about the gates, they are regularly serviced and checked so am sure they will be looked at again soon. “We have stayed here a few times now due to many factors and hope to return again and again!”

The location is perfect to explore Weymouth town and beach, which seems to be changing for the positive every year. The flat is always clean and the welcome pack is a nice touch. The flat comfortably accommodates 4 people and has everything you need for your stay. A few things to note, the washing machine door needs adjusting, the WIFI could be better, as it drops out from time to time, hand towel in bathroom and the option to have fresher towels mid stay for longer stays. Thank you very much for your positive feedback and numerous stays. I have checked the washing machine door and it looks like the machine moves slightly when spinning making the built in door become misaligned. I have moved the machine slightly to the right and this has solved the problem. Unfortunately we don't yet have fibre broadband in that location and are currently paying for the fastest speed possible with a copper wire connection. As soon as the local infrastructure is upgraded and a fibre optic connection is available, we will upgrade to get faster WFi. Thank you for your feedback and positive comments. The extractor fans in the kitchen and bathroom are not the usual ones you find in a home. They are part of the central heating system which uses a heat recovery system to provide heating and hot water in the flat. Although they don't have a motor in them (hence it appears they don't work as they don't make a noise) air is constantly being extracted from these two areas and fed through the boiler. I checked the TV and noted that someone had gone into the settings and switched the signal the TV is using from Satellite to Aerial. I have put it back to satellite. The block benefits from a satellite dish on the roof and this provides a much far wider range of TV channels rather than the very limited terrestrial aerial TV the local transmitter sends out. For this reason we bought a TV for the lounge with a built in Satellite receiver in it so guests had a better choice. There is no aerial lead going out of the lounge TV only a satellite lead so the TV must always be left on the Satellite tuner mode and not changed to aerial mode. Thank you for your feedback. I have adjusted the kitchen doors so they are all now OK. I have also reorganised the kitchen cupboards so there are a number of empty ones for guests to store their own items in, inventory items had been spread around all the cupboards and not stacked/stored efficiently. The escape windows in the bedrooms do work - one of them is called a "slave" and the other is the "master" which means you have to open one first before the other will open, this is quite a standard feature on windows with no central bar in them, they are also known as French Casement Windows. “Everything was clearly explained and we had no problems with either gaining entry or using the facilities.”

The flat was well provided for with dishwasher and washing machine. The owners left basic supplies for our arrival in the form of tea and coffee and milk etc and also a pack of biscuits. There was slight evidence of wear and tear and you may have trouble with the window opening in the future because I had to pull the handle quite hard to get the windows to close properly. But we had no problems and I would definitely use the flat again if we stay in Weymouth. The location is ideal, quiet but convenient. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. The issue with DAB reception is unfortunately indicative of the issue we have with the local infrastructure in Weymouth. The local TV transmitter is very poor, only sending a very limited choice of TV and radio channels to that locality. This is why we have a satellite enabled TV in the lounge which can pick up TV and radio signals from the roof mounted satellite dish instead of the local TV transmitter. You should be able to get the DAB radio channels on the TV. The same goes for the internet provision, although full fibre is being rolled out in the local area, the Admirals Quarter development as yet does not have full fibre capability. We continue to check this and as soon as it is available we will of course upgrade. For now we pay for the fastest speed that is available to us. Property Owner

“Pros- A gorgeous little apartment.”

Perfect size for me and my son while we moved house. Location was great- a moments walk from Newton's cove, the Nothe Fort and a short amble into town via the harbour. Kitchen was ideal with all the equipment necessary including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Allocated parking slot. Very quiet area and easy access to weymouth. Comfy beds. Bathroom was lovely with both a bath and a shower. Cons- Extremely loud boiler which can grumble throughout the night, temperamental thermostat meaning the heating was difficult to control leading to cold evenings, very very poor wifi signal during peak hours (as it is shared with another apartment), TV only has access to apps rather than actual TV which became a bit of a pain with the poor wifi signal.

Thank you for your feedback. The boiler is a modern electric heat recovery one and the flat being a new build, is extremely well insulated. The boiler will prioritise the provision of hot water at the expense of heating whenever hot water is used for a bath/shower. This is exacerbated in the winter when the ambient water temperature coming in is very low, there is however a boost mechanism on the boiler to increase the hot water heating provision so that takes less time to get up to temperature and the boiler can then get back to heating. The boiler is located in a cupboard in the inner hallway and only makes any noise when the fan/compressor is running, we are not aware of any other guest finding it a problem but note your comments. The wi-fi provision is shared with the next door flat however this too is only a small flat and therefore the number of users on at any one time is unlikely to have any negative effect on latency, this set up has been successfully running for many years now. We are paying for the maximum internet speed that the current local infrastructure allows for. The TV does have access to a full range of TV channels, this is done via the built in satellite receiver in the TV. Upon checking, unfortunately someone had gone into the receiver settings in the TV setup menu and changed them to aerial - this has been put back to how it should be now and all the channels are there. Had you contacted the local agency (less than 5 mins walk away) they could have easily boosted the boiler, sorted out the TV and run a speed check on the internet just to make sure there was no issue there with the provider. “It was a brilliant location for exploring Weymouth, walking distance to shops and beaches .”

The apartment provided us with everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, although the headboard in the smaller bedroom is very loose. Couldn't get the Phillips box to work with the TV, no TV manual for the LG TV. But could still watch programs on the TV and not a problem for our holiday. A lovely quiet location too. Thankyou for the complimentary hamper!

The location is perfect to explore, just 10 minute walk to the beach and in the other direct Northe Fort. Having a secure parking space is an added bonus and the welcome box was a nice touch and appreciated. Dreams Cottages were quick to fix our toilet and provide clean towels. Perhaps a new front door key box could be fitted as it was rather hit or miss if it worked. The toilet seat didn’t fit properly, it was too small for the basin. Also the toilet roll holder was faulty, it kept falling off the wall.

The welcome hamper was a lovely thought. The only minor thing is that in the double room duvets were stored on the top of the wardrobe and a big bag of towels on the bottom of the wardrobe. We could have utilised this space with our empty luggage bags but ended up storing them in the car and we could have put our shoes at the bottom of the wardrobe. As I said only a minor thing so we would definately stay here again and would recommend this place to others. A very relaxed enjoyable stay.

“Not the property you expect in a rental everything was well finished including decoration carpets, furniture and kitchen units.”

Everything worked well, shower was good. rooms were well thought out with clean good quality units in bedrooms. Bed in main bedroom was good quality and really provided a good nights sleep. And tv was a nice feature., Location was excellent with a short walk to everything. The secure parking was icing on the cake. This property will be hard to beat if we venture anywhere else. “12 months ago I advised that the shower head and the bath plug were not working this year still the same and I had to purchase shower head descaler.”

. I also advised that the bedroom carpet was in need of a good clean this also has not been carried out. the windows in the lounge need attention as hard to open this was also mentioned 12 months ago. Under the kitchen wall cupboards need cleaning. The double bed could do with a new mattress as no support. this is the 6th time we have used dream cottages and have mentioned problems with a previous apartment and am disappointed that feedback does not seem to be taken seriously by the owners. suggestion for apartment 4 owner to take 1 week of unoccupied time during the year and carry out deep clean of the double bedroom carpet. we will not be using apartment 4 or 5 in the future

The property

Admiral's Quarter Apartment 4 is in a gated development of contemporary apartments, mews houses and town houses. On one level this modern property provides high quality accommodation for families in the lovely traditional seaside resort of Weymouth . With an open plan living, kitchen, diner you can cook dinner for all the family and yet still enjoy the time together discussing the day of adventures you have had.

The master bedroom is cosy.

Bedroom two is compact, and you will find a modern bathroom. On the doorstep is The Nothe Gardens, with stunning trees, winding walks and large open grassed areas, it’s the perfect place for a picnic or afternoon stroll.

Just a short walk down from the property is the attractive Brewers Quay area and Hope Square where you will find plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, many with outside areas.

A few short steps from Hope Square finds you on the old harbour side.

Walk over the town bridge and find winding streets full of shops all alongside the gorgeous open beach of Weymouth with it’s shallow waters and golden sands.

On your way home don’t forget to explore Newton's Cove, just two minutes walk from the apartment, with it’s small shingle beach and plenty of rock pools you will find it a lovely place to relax.

This is the perfect place for a couple to have romantic seaside break or for a small family to create precious childhood memories.

The glorious golden sandy beaches have excellent facilities for all kinds of watersports, whilst from the picturesque, bustling harbour you can take regular fishing trips. A short drive takes you to Portland Harbour, and the rugged “Isle” of Portland, linked to Weymouth by the dramatic Chesil Beach. Visit Dorchester, Thomas Hardy’s “Casterbridge”, only 7 miles away, or take a journey along the scenic coastal road and call in at Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. Alternatively, just head down to West Bay - the views of the stunning Dorset Heritage Coastline are not to be missed!
