Stag Cottage is an extremely high quality holiday home, with everything you need ,very well equipped, spotlessly clean, modern, and with very comfortable beds,we both slept very soundly.

Debbie is a lovely host and very welcoming and helpful, and can be contacted if needed. The welcome pack was very generous & appreciated. We loved watching all the birds feeding on the bird table,as the back patio, overlooks a beautiful woodland area, it's so peaceful.We would definitely recommend Stag Cottage, and hope to stay again next year. The cottage is very spacious, modern and fully equipped. The kitchen utensils provided are excellent for cooking home made meals. The welcome hamper was lovely! There's lots of attractions within easy driving distance. The hot tub was well maintained and the provision of dedicated towels and robes gave us relaxing evenings. Thank you Debbie and Kevin

Perfect, the cottage was the best we've stayed in.

Beautifully presented, a lovely hamper on arrival and the hot tub. which was used after a day exploring, were all very welcoming. Debbie was the perfect host too, advice on what to see and where to go, we have had a fabulous holiday and loved exploring Dorset, the cottage was the perfect base.

I have no hesitation in recommending this top quality accommodation.

Kevin and Debbie were very helpful and approachable.

The place was spotless when we arrived , and there was a small hamper welcome pack which contained some nice "goodies". The house was well laid out and the appliances were well maintained and clean (e.g the washing machine was well maintained and did not smell ). Internet access was around the 80Mbs and Netflix e.t.c streamed well on the TV. They provide guest access but we took our own Amazon "Firestick" with our own subscriptions and that worked flawlessly. We had a minor problem with the kitchen bi-fold door and the extreme heat , however Debbie was on it immediately and her son managed to shut it for us. The Patio area around the back was spacious and secluded, and it was nice sitting in the shade. The Owners provide all the bio-degradable washing solutions , so no need to take any washing up stuff yourself. I have been critical of a number of places we have been to in the past but for me, this is one of the ones to come back to and i do not say that lightly . Good layout, clean and comfortable with a large living room area. See you both in the next year.

It’s a fantastic property—beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing break. The hot tub was a real highlight for all of us—we made great use of it throughout the week! Debbie was a wonderful host and made us feel so welcome, especially with the thoughtful Easter hamper waiting for us on arrival, which was such a lovely touch. The location is perfect for exploring Dorset, with so much to see and do nearby, yet it still feels peaceful and tucked away. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather, which made the whole experience even better. We had a fantastic week and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We’d highly recommend Stag Cottage!

We had a lovely relaxing break at Stag Cottage.

The hot tub in the garden, near the wood, listening to the birds sing was divine! The location is great for visits to local attractions and beaches and the cottage itself well kitted out and of an extremely high standard. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Stag Cottage, debbie met us on arrival and went through everything with us.

We loved the hot tub and layout of the cottage it was so peaceful there we slept like babies. The village is lovely too and easy access to lots of different places. Rose & Crown do fab burgers and The Bakers Arms further although it is a chain pub has lovely atmosphere and great food we ate there twice. Would definately recommend staying here and we will definately stay again as it is a stunning part of the country and lots to explore. Thanks for a great stay.

We have stayed in many self-catering properties over the years and this is now our number one property.

It is immaculately clean, spacious with excellent furnishings. Debbie and Kevin made us feel very welcome on arrival and the hamper was a lovely unexpected treat. It is in a quiet location but is easily accessible to the village and local attractions. (Do try The Barn for food but book in advance). Everything was perfect for us.

The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable visit, and the facilities were excellent. Its location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area, and we were very impressed by the high standard of accommodation. We look forward to returning.

The Owner was lovely and friendly without being intrusive atall. A great base for exploring the area- Lyme Regis, Poole seafront, Dorchester, Wimborne, Ilminster…. Highly recommended.

Great holiday property as described!

Located in a quiet rural setting perfect for a relaxing holiday with ample parking to the front of the property. The outdoor space is amazing to the rear overlooking woodland and the Hot Tub is spacious and relaxing. The upstairs bedrooms are spacious so are the bathrooms one with the freestanding bath. The longe has plenty of seating and a large smart tv. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped everything you will need for your stay. The hosts have literally thought of everything it has to be said this is one of the best holiday properties we have stayed in and would stay again.

Stag cottage is in a lovely peaceful location and we were able to sit and watch the many birds flocking to the feeder.

The owner welcomed us personally, and with a beautiful hamper. The property was absolutely spotless and everything of the highest quality. Everything was provided to make it a real home from home. The location is great for exploring the Dorset coast and countryside and we will not hesitate to recommend it to our friends and family.

An amazing place to holiday!

Cottage had everything you could ever need and was spotlessly clean. The cottage is in the perfect location with lots to do only a short drive away yet once you go down the drive to the cottage it feels so secluded and quiet. We loved our evenings in the hot tub watching all the bats! The owner was friendly and helpful and we appreciated all of her suggestions of places to visit. We had a brilliant week at Stag cottage and hope we can visit again.

Having spent many years holidaying abroad, after being a bit disenchanted with over-priced and over-rated British holiday lets, I decided to give Dorset one more try.

To my surprise, I came across this lovely, peaceful property with its genuine, friendly owners. I was actually in the process of booking something else for a last minute getaway and was drawn instead to this modern property, largely based on the very positive feedback of other reviewers. They were certainly not wrong and we are so glad that we chose Stag Cottage instead of the original option from another agent. I rarely go back to the same place twice, but this is one of those exceptions. The property is exceptionally clean, the dense, woodland outlook is great and the hot tub is the place to be after dark. In particular, the size and specification of the two separate en-suites is really exceptional for a property of this size and a real bonus after a busy day in the sun. On a practical note, you will need a car for this property as most of the main attractions and beaches are about a 20 minute drive away. But on the plus side you do get peace and tranquility after hours and the local village puts mine to shame in terms of the range of good quality services and facilities on offer, including two proper pubs, which serve good food. As you can guess I intend to find a way back soon to this lovely corner of Dorset.

Very convenient for lots of visits to the coast and National Trust properties. Very welcoming hosts and an excellent property. Spotlessly clean throughout. Thoughtful touches like bath robes and a welcome basket. The hot tub and garden area were a pleasure with just trees, birds and greenery to look at. Highly recommend.

Lovely cottage with all the amenities a two-bedroom cottage would need.

Situated down a country lane it was quiet and peaceful punctuated with bird and deer sounds. Icing on the cake was the hot tub which was used frequently to sooth our aching muscles from the many walks we did in the fabulous county of Dorset. Deb and her husband made sure all our needs were met by frequently checking on our comfort and needs.

One of the best vacation homes we have stayed in.

Fully equipped, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. Every last detail has been thought of. We particularly enjoyed the quiet location coupled with lovely views of woodland and countryside.

An amazing property!

From the moment we opened the door and entered Stage Cottage we knew that we were in for a treat. The cottage was beautifully clean and has been finished to a very high standard with every amenity that we could have wished for, including a lovely welcome hamper. The owners, Debbie and Kevin, were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Sitting in the hot tub, watching the birds and squirrels, was a treat, as we soaked away any aches from the long walks! We spent two weeks there and discovered so many different places to visit. Some of our family were so impressed by what we told them that they have encouraged us to book The Barn (a larger property on the site) for us all next year!

We had an amazing stay (despite the weather) at stag cottage.

It is a brilliant base to explore the beautiful Dorset countryside and coast. Quiet and secluded, it feels like being right out in the country, but you are close to amenities. A hot tub is always a bonus, and really importantly is not overlooked. The cottage is very well equipped throughout, warm and comfortable. It has clearly been well thought out, and finished to a high standard. It was a really nice touch to be greeted by Debbie on our arrival, and to know she is on hand if needed throughout the stay. Generally we really enjoyed our stay, and the biggest compliment I can give is that I would happily return and stay here again.

This place is fantastic.

I stayed two weeks. It’s close to beaches, towns, countryside and woods. The kitchen is fully stocked …. It even had a butter dish and champagne bucket. Everything was nice quality. And the hot tub was also fab. Bathroom toiletries provided were beautiful with a super big bath.

Stunning high quality and luxury accomodation.

In excellent location far enough away from built uo areas to give silent nights and excellent star gazing yet still very close to many popular Dorset attractions and also not far from the beautiful New Forest. Everything about the property, the hosts and our stay was 10/10. We will 100% recommend to friends and family and we hope to return in the future.

A great base for days out, so much to do nearby. The cottage is so lovely and fresh in very quiet surroundings. Has a real pampering feel to it with the toiletries, hamper of goodies and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again.
