This was our 6th visit to this property and we love it .

I had a comfortable stay at Coombe Orchard.

It was all very clean and fresh. The bedroom area is spacious and there is plenty of storage. The living/kitchen area is a little cramped but I did have a dog crate. I particularly enjoyed sitting in the patio area with a drink and my book! Sadly I did not see any of the much written about deer in the garden.

Had a great week at Coombe Orchard, lovely little all open plan place, lovely garden with the deer coming down most mornings, The owners Gill and John were very welcoming and very helpful with any problems, bed very comfortable, will definitely return.

A lovely little cottage, immaculately presented and maintained.

It is very comfortable for two people and a small dog, but could be a struggle with a large or boisterous one. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar etc was greatly appreciated and was in fact sufficient to see us through our week’s stay. The garden is more of a one time orchard, and was greatly enjoyed by our small dog, saving me a few walks! He especially enjoyed chatting with the long horned neighbours in the adjacent field, but was too slow to catch up with the visiting deer! A great place to stay and well located to visit local attractions. We found The Royal Oak, about 15 minutes walk towards Swanage, a very friendly place where Gary, the manager, put out a bowl of water for our dog the minute we arrived. We’re looking at going again next year.

Had a really enjoyable stay at Coombe Orchard.

Swanage and surrounding area has everything required for a relaxing holiday. Accomodation was comfortable and well appointed. Only negative comment is there is no conventional oven. The Microwave / Oven is housed in the utility area and rather confusing to operate.

A lovely comfortable well equipped quality holiday cottage, in a great location, especially if you like walking!

Warm and comfortable with everything that we needed.

Our dog loved following the deer, fox and badger scents in the large garden. We were all warmly welcomed by the owners. The location is good with lots to see and do in the area and footpaths to follow such as the Priest's Way. Couldn't possibly give it less than 5 star rating.

We have enjoyed a lovely week in this cottage, spotlessly clean, everything you need, the garden is fabulous our dog loved it and so did we, A lovely welcome from the owners who also recommended some lovely places to visit, I would highly recommend to stay here you will love it.

Me, my wife and our spotty dog had a great time staying here, it was well equipped and very cosy on an evening after been out all day with great access to surrounding areas such as swanage and studlands among many more.

The wild deer coming into the garden day or night was also a nice experience along with the large garden space which our dog enjoyed but overall would recommend to anyone year round

We love returning to Coombe Orchard as it offers just what we want.

A nice welcome from the owners, clean comfortable accommodation, lovely large garden with deer visiting if you are lucky, close to Swanage, Corfe Castle and Studland. We enjoyed our beach walks, often with coffee and cake in Java cafe, Swanage. We enjoyed evening meals at The Black Swan, Swanage. So nice to have roomy parking close to the door. Absolutely love this place.

Try to visit at least twice a year. Everything about it is amazing. Furnishings, bathroom, bed linen and the welcome pack! Thank you so much. The best bits for me, long tailed tits visiting garden along with a beautiful stag deer. Not far from RSPB Arne - a must if you like a nice walk or watching wildlife. Got to see the wild pigs. Swanage is beautiful with an amazing pier..thank you. Will visit again next year xx

Property is lovely and cosy and Jil and John very welcoming as usual. Very well located for walks and plenty of room for the dog to stretch his legs.

Lovely place, lovely people.

Great place for us and our dogs who love the garden, we were visited by squrrrels, deer, cows and bats - wonderful. Close enough for the Swanage beach, far enough out to have peace and quiet.

What an amazing holiday cottage!

From the moment we saw this place we knew this was somewhere we will definitely return to again and again! Clean and cosy, well equipped with a beautiful garden ( which our dog Lola loved!) this place ticked all the boxes for us. Gill and John were lovely and so helpful, suggesting local places to visit. The location is perfect. We loved all the thoughtful touches, nice handcream and shower gel in the bathroom, a wonderful gift of goodies on our arrival, we felt very spoilt! I would highly recommend Coombe Orchard for a relaxing break.

Everything really fine.

Whenever we needed something we looked and it was there. We love the setting and the proximity to Swanage. Perfect for what we needed. Very comfy bed. Thanks for central heating. As the kitchen is in the same room and a tap drips I did find that slightly annoying, being an insomniac. But found putting a washing-up sponge under it deadened the sound. There’s always a solution.

Fantastic stay at Coombe Orchard again for us both, along with Rosie the dog.

The owners were friendly and welcoming & the cottage was perfectly clean, comfortable & warm with everything we needed plus a large garden for the dog. Watching the deer in the garden was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend & visit again in the future.

She was very helpful and was always on hand if needed, but never intrusive. This was my second visit and love the location on the edge Swanage and next door to some wonderful countryside and great walks.

Beautifully clean, well furnished, cosy and spacious accommodation, welcoming hosts and close to everything you need, with wonderful walking opportunities from the door.

Lots of places to visit and so close to the sea and lovely Swanage. Even deer in the orchard! Third time we've visited and certainly won't be the last. Everything was just perfect.

The cottage was perfect for us, as it had a lot of outside space and being dog friendly fitted us perfectly. Close enough to town but far enough to be relaxed. The cottage had everything we needed plus some lovely touches. The cooking facilities were really very good and we were able to cook proper food without any problem. We have had a lovely holiday at Coombe Orchard.

If you are a couple with or without Dogs, and are planning to visit and stay in Swanage there is only one place to stay and that is Coombe Cottage, we cannot recommend it enough.

The owners Gill and John are really lovely people they make you feel welcome from the very start of your stay to the end of it. Coombe Cottage is so very clean and comfortable, a real home from home. The garden is a superb large space to relax in with picturesque surroundings. Coombe Cottage is within easy reach of Swanage town centre and is situated perfectly for visits to Corfe Castle and Lulworth Cove. Make Coombe Cottage your choice of a place to say, you will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Coombe Orchard.

The owners have thought of every convenience to make for a delightful holiday and have gone above and beyond in leaving a welcome pack which included treats for the dog! They are kind and helpful but not at all intrusive. Fantastic large garden space for both dogs and humans to enjoy, with regular glimpses of local wildlife. Good local pubs and Swanage/Corfe/Wareham nearby, and handy bus stop too for venturing further afield if you don't want to drive. Easy parking on site. Superb! Thank you again to the owners.

My dog and I just had an excellent week at Coombe Orchard which is really ideally situated for a multitude of walks - long and short- without having to use the car.

It has ample and secure parking, a very large enclosed and well-maintained back garden, great for dogs and overlooking lovely countryside. We saw deer grazing amongst the cows in the adjacent field. The beautiful cottage was spotless, tastefully decorated, extremely well equipped, warm and comfortable. It was obvious that everything had been carefully thought through to make guests' stay easy and agreeable. The owners, Mr and Mrs Curtis, offered us a warm welcome, were discreet and attentive to our needs. Should I be lucky enough to go back to that fantastic part of the world, I would definitely love to stay at Coombe Orchard again.

Owners Gill and John very friendly and accommodating, left a lovely tray full of goodies on arrival plus milk/tea.

Garden great for our greyhound, wonderful to see deer (incl. stag!) in garden too. Living/kitchen area slightly cramped. Didn't hear traffic despite being just off main road, great walk for dog uphill to priests way. Easy drive to Swanage, Corfe Castle and Studland Bay. Had a lovely stay!

The second visit to Coombe Orchard in the space of 6 months - which should be taken as a commendation in itself.

The cottage is perfectly situated to give ready to so much, whether on foot or by short car journey. We walked 45 miles in three and a half days and the furthest we drove was 5 miles. After all that, the cottage and the grounds are the perfect location to recover.

Gill and John were brilliant hosts, all the little touches made our stay all the better.

A great stay, lovely small cottage with very good facilities .

Although compact this cottage had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay - plenty of equipment and the patio chairs and table were really great!

We used them everyday to have breakfast outside in the glorious sunshine! Nice and close to Swanage and the Co-op store was really good. Have a ride on the Swanage railway - it's great! Jill & John were very welcoming and left you to your own devices but were available if you needed them Being able to recycle was an added bonus compared to other places we have stayed and there was even a dog "poo" bin!

A lovely property which was accurately described in the brochure.

It was clean and very well appointed with a large well maintained garden which was enjoyed by our two dogs. Coombe Orchard provided an ideal base to explore the beautiful Isle of Purbeck. We will recommend this property to others. Many thanks to our hosts Gill and John.

A superb cottage and garden, totally relaxing.

Very clean, and comfortable with everything you need for your stay, included was an amazing Welcome pack it also had treats for our dogs. It was a real pleasure to meet Gill and John the owners, they are both very friendly and helpful. The location of Coombe Orchard cottage is excellent for getting to Swanage and surrounding areas such as Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove and Durdle door. Coombe Orchard cottage is a must if you want to visit the gorgeous Jurassic coastline.

Very well looked after property. And most important to us very clean. The property is fitted out with quality products, the owners have worked hard to archive this. Perfect for 2 people plus dog's. Location was also good for moving around the local area.

Our stay at Combe Orchard was brilliant.

Gill and John the owners were very welcoming and very helpful when we had a problem with one of our dogs. The property has everything you need and the enclosed garden is great if you want to let your dogs off lead. Just watch out for the resident deer as they visit early morning and at dusk. Will definitely be returning as its a great base from which to explore Swanage and the surrounding area. Many Thanks.

There is a sense of spaciousness about the accommodation.

Facilities are excellent and it is really comfortable - it offers all that you would want so that you can focus on enjoying your stay and fulfilling any plans you might have. It is very well-situated in terms of what can be readily accessed whether by car or on foot, the latter with The Gully 50 yards along the road and Priest's Way and the coastal path beyond, and it is easy to avoid getting caught up in the drag of any traffic in Swanage. The proximity of the B-road up through Langton Matravers was really helpful in getting to Worth Matravers and Kingston and the prime walking country the area offers. The hosts are very thoughtful (and it was good to know that you could strike up a conversation about Raymond Chandler without batting an eyelid), as well as accommodating - I was able to arrive at 1pm which meant that I could get a 10-mile walk in before dusk. I will certainly be looking to return again at some point.

WOW just back from a 3 night stay at Coombe Orchard, close to Swanage.

Gill and John were fantastic hosts. Lots of thoughtful touches, accommodation was ideal for us (2 adults and our German Shepherd) huge enclosed garden and some beautiful walks close by. I shall be telling all my friends about this gem - thanks Jill we'll definitely return in the future! X

Such a beautiful well set out property.

Gill was so lovely and very helpful. Lots of walks enjoyed, Priests way, Dancing ledge, Swanage. Only about 10 minutes from Arne Nature Reserve and it was fantastic. Lots to see and do, dogs welcome at cottage and even get a treat. Absolutely, loved all the personal touches. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend others pay you a visit.

Coombe orchard is comfortable warm , perfect location for walks, john and jill great hosts , would we stay there again , definitely, even if it's to return the coffee and salt and pepper I packed by mistake , sorry jill , thankyou janice and den .

A most hospitable welcome and a lovely place to spend our Christmas break with our two dogs.

The owners greeted us with a xmas welcome pack and had decorated the cottage for us. The enclosed rear garden was ideal for the pooches and they took great interest in the deer and stag that occasionally visited. The cottage is warm and comfortable and very " user friendly". We enjoy this part of the world and will rebook again.

The photos do not do it justice. It is so cozy and has everything you need for a perfect holiday. The owners John and Gill were very friendly and were also very informative. If they hadn’t told us about Tyneham Village we would never have known about it. It was a lovely experience and we recommend that anyone who visits Dorset must visit this place. The welcome pack was lovely Tea and coffee everything we needed, and the deer in the garden just beautiful. Coombe Ochard is the perfect place for visiting Swanage, Weymouth and the surrounding area. We will be back next year.

There was everything we needed and the welcome treats were a wonderful extra. Fantastic access to coastal walks via Priest's Way. Lovely to see the deer in the back garden! We had great days out at rspb Arne, monkey world, Kingston Lacy, and a couple of great coastal walks to Durlston, Dancing Ledge and St Aldhelm's. A lovely place to stay, highly recommend, thank you!

Very comfortable and clean cottage with everything provided. Delightful welcome pack with a bottle of cider, prosecco and treats for the dog! The garden is large and gated with a lovely patio. Henry our dog loved it especially when we had an unexpected visit from a deer! Gill and John, the owners, live next door and were very welcoming. Large off street parking space is a bonus as well. Will certainly go back next time we visit Swanage.

Great walks on the door step. 20 min walk in to town, 25 to 30 coming back (up hill). The accommodation was is really nice, just right for two people, host’s very friendly. Really recommend, hope we can return one day.

What a beautiful cottage.

A credit to owners Jill and John, it was comfortable, warm and super clean. Everything was catered form cooking utensils, extra toilet roll (not many places supply in case your caught short) to the beautiful toiletries. The welcome gift was lovely and the dogs enjoyed their snacks. Comfy bed and sofa. Close to all sight seeing, swanage, Corfe castle, wareham, Studland, Durdle Door, some not all of the places I visited. Brown Sea Island. Jill was knowledgable and helpful with areas to visit walks for dogs. I would recommend priests way - fabulous with stunning views. Wild life is abundant for photography. Amazing large garden which was safe for dogs. Weather was beautiful too. We will revisit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at Coombe Orchard.

The place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and warm. The thoughtful touches like the mini hamper, dog treats, milk etc were a kind gesture and a pleasant surprise upon arrival. The grounds were amazing too and ideal for our little dog Missy. John and Chris made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent property, comfortable and furnished to a high standard.

Very well located for coastal and inland walking as well as the beaches. Don't be put off by the one room property it feels spacious.

Beautiful, well-equipped accommodation in a convenient location within a short drive (or half-hour walk) of Swanage.

It is also on the bus route to Swanage or to other nearby towns, such as Wareham or Poole. The cottage was immaculately presented,warm and clean, with a large, beautiful private garden, including outside area to sit and relax. Inside is a light and tastefully decorated open-plan living/dining/kitchen space, with ample storage. There is a modern bathroom with underfloor heating and heated towel rail and an entrance hall with space for coats and boots etc and housing the fridge, freezer and microwave with some worktop space. Private parking is secure and right outside the front door. The hosts, who live in the cottage alongside are friendly and most helpful without being intrusive. The accommodation is dog friendly and there are countryside walks right from the door. A generous welcome pack was provided. All in all, a great choice and a venue we would not hesitate to recommend very highly.

It was so nice to receive a warm welcome from Gill, who also gave an introduction to the walks nearby. We were lucky with the weather, and walked every day. The nearby Priests Way walk was a bonus, with us visiting Worth Matravers, Durlston and Swanage - so many lovely views along the way. We looked forward each day to getting back and enjoying our holiday home - it was clean, cosy, with quality furnishings and kitchen ware. How nice to wake up and see deer in the garden outside! Use of the large garden and new private patio area are a real bonus. A beautiful cottage, ideally placed for people who enjoy walking in the gorgeous Purbecks and along the coast paths, straight from the cottage door. The welcome pack was a lovely addition, the owners are the perfect hosts, there if you need them. A great place for dog lovers, we're already planning on going back next year. Amazing place, the cottage and garden were perfect, short walk into Swanage beautiful area, hosts were lovely nothing was too much

Coombe Orchard is a beautiful quiet cottage with a large secluded garden.

It is a quality, spotless accommodation with a large comfy bed. We were provided with a welcome gift of goodies plus tea, coffee & milk to start the holiday off perfectly. The cottage is a lovely place to stay to either relax or use as a base to discover the surrounding area. Swanage seafront is a leisurely half hour walk & the cottage is also on a handy bus route as well. Jill & John made us feel very welcome & we will definitely be going back

Beautiful cottage.

Furnished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. We were made to feel so welcome, even with some goodies on our arrival, including biscuits for our dog which was lovely. Stunning and enormous garden, which is frequently regularly by a herd of deer... you do need to be careful with your dog. Comfortable patio where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There are a few good walks immediately behind the cottage,plus, it’s in a great location for local beauty spots. Would thoroughly recommend and we will definitely be going back

We spent a wonderful week at Combe Orchard (2 adults & 2 dogs) The cottage had everything we needed, is spotlessly clean & has a great garden with a patio area which is surrounded by all kinds of wildlife.

(Deer, woodpeckers, foxes etc) We would highly recommend this cottage as a place to stay for exploring Dorset & Jill & John made us feel extremely welcome.

The delightful owners were friendly, helpful and informative and provided welcome gifts for both us and our dog. Everything in the cottage was of a high standard providing comfort and warmth. The very large garden was well equipped with garden furniture. The location was ideal for a holiday in the Isle of Purbeck. We have already re-booked the cottage for our next holiday!

What a fabulous 5 night break, Mrs Curtis met us on arrival & showed us everything we needed to know.

The cottage itself has everything you need, superb bathroom, comfy large bed. As for the garden, its huge, our dogs loved it, in the summer it must be awesome!!! The local pub, The Kings Arms, is less than 15 minutes away, great food & very welcoming locals. The cottage is a great location, close to Corfe Castle, Tyneham Village, Studland & Swanage Town. The owners Gill & John met us on arrival and made us very welcome.

They also left us a welcome basket of of goodies. We found the place very comfortable and cosy. Would recommend it to any couple for a relaxing time. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We very much enjoyed our holiday, even though the weather was not very good, the apartment, Coombe Orchard, was very well laid out and everything you need for a good holiday.

An exceedingly comfortable quality cottage with friendly and helpful hosts, perfectly situated for exploring the Purbecks on the edge of lovely Swanage.

The large garden was a real bonus!

It was convenient to all we wanted and had everything we needed. Owner John was very welcoming and friendly.

This is our 2nd visit to this cottage and we will definitely visit again - superb pet friendly accomodation, spotless and very attractive with a lovely garden - delightful owners provide quality accomodation and make your stay even better with quality tojletries, lovely welcome package and even provided dog bowls and blankets if needed.

The only thing I would say would make it even more desirable would be to provide wi-fi - I,m sad to say we did miss it over the week, but it really didn't spoil our enjoyment of this lovely place!

This cottage was in a great spot to access lots of walking above Swanage and the surrounding countryside.

It was a really good base and it was very clean with a fantastic garden perfect for our dog. One thing that would have made it slightly better would have been if there was access to the garden directly from the back of the cottage and if there had been a small patio area.

Excellent cottage as usual

This was a beautiful holiday cottage.

The owners was lovely and showed us around. Our dog was in her element with a beautiful big private garden. We had a lovely break and even when we arrived we had a big bottle of Prosecco milk tea coffee and the basics to get you started. Even the bathroom products are really good quality. I wouldn’t hesitate anybody to book this holiday cottage. As a family I would definitely return here as it was such a relaxing place.

We couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome, and recieved most useful advice on places to visit.

The location was great for us as there was so much to see in this part of Dorset without travelling more than 20 miles. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable with a great bath and shower. Loved seeing the deer in the garden... A real bonus.

Mr & Mrs Curtis provide excellent facilities this has been our 6/7th visit and we are likely to come again as we love the resorts of the Isle of Purbeck.

What a little gem.

Best place we have found over the last 6 years visiting Dorset. Spotlessly clean, everything you could want, very generous welcome gifts for us and our dog. Glorious garden for the dog. Easy access to Studland, which we love. Good food outlets in Swanage, and you must try ‘Love Cake’ in Swanage High St for afternoon tea. Do make sure you know there is no WiFi, but it didn’t spoil our holiday. Will be going back again to this little gem. Thanks Gill. Bill & Pat Marsden

The cottage was perfect for two people we even took our big German Shepard with us, the walks in the area were great, the area is very dog friendly.

The cottage was great for buses and train and only about 30 - 45 minutes walk into Swanage. The garden in the cottage was wonderful for us and the dog. The owners were very nice people and supplied things you didn't expect. Would be only too please to return there in the future.

Lovely cottage, very well placed for visiting the coast and other areas of interest.

Enjoyed the privacy and relaxing atmosphere. Made very welcome. A very refreshing break. Did the priests way walk from cottage to worth and enjoyed the views and saw deer on the way. The pub in worth was very enjoyable serving pasty and home made cider. Loved Studland bay and country park walks with Corfe views amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days at Coobe Orchard, Swanage - the cottage was cosy, spotless, the facilities were excellent and it was lovely and peaceful, which is just what we wanted! The owner welcomed us when we arrived and she was more than happy for our dog to exercise in the large garden. We would thoroughly recommend it to any couple looking for a holiday in this lovely part of Dorset!

A warm welcome at the property by Gill the owner. Fantastic garden, large and great for our two labradors to run around in. Also included table and chairs and loungers for our use. The property was clean and well laid out. It had plenty of space for hanging clothes and storing provisions with a very useful fridge, freezer and microwave. Lots of thoughtful extras made this property really stand out. Milk and biscuits, tea, coffee, gravy granules - little things but make such a difference. I had taken washing up liquid and air freshener but needn't have done. A quick tip - there is a hairdryer in one of the drawers. I didn't spot this until it was almost time to come home as hadn't needed to use that particular drawer. Handy location for Swanage. I would highly recommend this property and would revisit myself. We had a fabulous week in this superb little cottage. It is well appointed and everything has been thought of. We took our cocker spaniel for his first holiday. The walks close to the cottage are fantastic. Places like Corfe Castle and Lulworth Cove are extremely close by. Would definitely recommend it and would love to revisit. Stayed September 2015

We had a fabulous time at Coombe cottage. It is perfectly located for exploring the Dorset coast. Also easy to walk into swanage as well. The cottage was lovely, very clean, with all amenities required. But with a modern, but homely feel. We took our little dog fleur with us and she loved the garden as did we. On arrival my daughter & I had a lovely warm welcome from the owner with tea, coffee, milk & much to my daughters delight a packet of local biscuits being left for us in the property. Lovely little place situated outside Swanage on the road to Corfe. Great location for exploring local area. Lots of lovely walks. Very well equipped and bed was very comfortable. Garden is beautiful and we were treated to a visit from a mother and baby deer one evening . We stayed with our dog over Easter and had a great time. Owner was very helpful. We have stayed at this property previously and were not disappointed. We were made very welcome by the owners with complimentary milk and wine on arrival so that we could have a lovely cup of tea after a long journey. The accommodation was well equipped, clean and comfortable. (The bed was extremely comfortable.) The bathroom was nice and roomy with a good size bath and a lovely shower. The service from Dream Cottages was brilliant and booking our cottage was very easy. The cottage (Combe Orchard) that we rented was superb. Spotless inside with all modern fixtures and fittings. The enclosed garden was great for our 2 dogs to run around and play. The location was excellent for a base to visit all of the local sights and only a 20 minute walk to the coast. We had an amazing weekend, the cottage was just perfect, the owners, communications and directions were perfect. We were met on arrival and shown around. We wanted for nothing all weekend every little thing we could possibly need in a rental had been thought about down to the finest detail. The cottage was beautifully clean, very comfortable bed and great location for walking straight from the door. Exactly what we were looking for would highly recommend and stay there again.

The Cottage is very comfortable and has all you need and more. Lots of little touches that make you feel welcome (e.g. the dog biscuits, prosecco and florentines). The owners are very friendly and also make you feel welcome, they clearly care about their cottage and that their visitors have a great stay.
