Such a great place in an ideal location with everything you need. Will return again I'm sure.

Another lovely stay at the brilliantly located Cliff Farm - spoiled only by the fact that the weather was too 'good'.

The Hosts and setting are lovely.

We knew the area as we usually stay at the Seaside boarding House but we wanted more ourside space to enjoy with friends. Even though the furnishings are dated everything was extremely comfortable. The only thing stopping a 5 star review is there is only a downstairs toilet with very steep stairs.

Everything you need for a fabulous break. Thank you! Only one thing and it's just an observation.... If you have small dogs like us, the garden is not secure because little dogs can very easily get under the main gate.

What a fantastic place, so clean and was well equipped with everything you needed.

The home was warm and cozy, the heating being on was well received after a dog walk. The area is beautiful and if your taking a dog its absolutely fantastic with walks just outdide the door and you're very close to the beach. There are lots of dog walkers and people are so friendly. We have already booked again for next year..its feels like home and the dogs will be settled in as soon as they get there again they loved it, they highly recommend it

Very welcoming, cottage was lovely and the location was amazing, if you want to eat out suggest you book the 3 horseshoes early as very busy, but lots of places to eat, would highly recommend

Wonderful hosts and a wonderful cottage Only negative point was the lack of a private washing machine with the children- having to ask felt like an intrusion .

Young children do get messy on the beach etc and it would have been appreciated to have had this However, for us two it was great and not an issue Many thanks for your great housekeeping and kindness

Our second stay at Cliff Farm Cottage.

Excellent location, so close to the SW coastal path, Hive Beach and the village centre. The cottage fits our needs very well and the reassuring presence of Gill and Alan nearby is a bonus (though not at all intrusive). Superb walking nearby without having to use car. Discovered the Fish n Chip van in the village Thursday early evenings on this visit; very nice and well priced in comparison. Handy to utilise the excellent local bus service. We'll be back.

We love being at Cliff Farm.

The setting is beautiful. Lots of lovely walks from the front door and we hardly use the car. Good food is served at the two village pubs and Hive Beach Cafe. The Parlour at Bredy Farm is close by too for Pizza and Italian inspired food. The cottage is comfortable and the friendly owners are next door to help and advise if required. Thank you Jill and Alan for another wonderful stay.

We return every year the cottage is so comfortable and the setting idyllic. The owners make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. It really is a home from home.

Perfectly situated for coastal walks. Cosy and well equipped for nights in. Great walks on coast path from the door with other lovely walks close by. Owners live next door and are friendly and helpful. Great restaurants for foodies nearby (Hive Beach Cafe, The Parlour and the Three Horseahoes) and Modbury Farm Shop up the road for local goodies. The dogs love it too.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay. The location was perfect for us with just a short walk to the coastal path and to the beach where our dogs had a great time. Less than 100 yards down the cliff road and we were in the village where there was a convenient shop within the filling station. There are two pubs in the village, which we didn't visit on this occasion. The cottage owners were on hand but not intrusive and they were very helpful when needed. Highly recommended.

Excellent is a good starting point!

We were desperate for a break after a bereavement and stresses of running my own business. We wanted to shut out the ‘background noise’ and have a chill with our three dogs. Jill and Alan gave us a warm welcome and the cottage is lovely: warm and welcoming! The calmness and silence were a tonic. Brilliant and organised set up with everything considered and simple instructions. We would wholeheartedly recommend this cottage as an excellent base for walking with dogs, lovely villages and towns with some very good pub lunches where the dogs were welcomed. Price-wise we think that it is excellent value for money! Suffice to say, that we booked again with Sykes for Jill and Alan’s site before we left! If that is not a recommendation then I do not know what is! Many thanks to Jill, Alan and Sykes Cottages.

Clean, comfortable and practical accommodation in beautiful position close to coast path and walking distance from beach and village.

Friendly, welcoming hosts who live next door.

Firstly we would just like to say that we loved our stay here and the cottage is really lovely in a great location.

Our only concern is the issue with the footfall that use the gate to the driveway. This consisted of the owners themselves, window cleaner, gardener and others who we think were staying or residing behind us. All of these at some stage left the gate open which is where the issue lies. We were lucky that our dog didn't escape from the garden in these instances. Other families might not be so lucky which is why we think if the cottage is advertised as dog friendly then this doesn't just mean allowing dogs. It means that the cottage should be safe for dogs as well. We MUST stress that this was our only issue and everything else was perfect. Apologies if this offends the owners because they were lovely people, it's just a safety concern for dogs and their owners.

An excellent house in a very quiet location, less than 10 minutes walk to the beach, great view from the cliffs, beautiful rooms, good beds, private parking, very friendly landlord, only the kitchen equipment could be a bit more spacious for 4 people.

Our 6th time here which says it all really, fab location, beach, pubs & local shop all in walking distance.

West Bay & Bridport only a few minutes drive away. Our 2 dogs love it here, Jill & Alan the owners are always on hand, but not at all intrusive.

Location is perfect for walks and the centre of the village is within 5 minutes walk. One caveat for potential dog owners is the garden is not fully enclosed so potential for dogs to escape onto the road. Maybe a fence around the lawned area and an outside light above the patio doors would be a beneficial improvement. Overall lovely stay and would be happy to recommend.

Lovely cottage in a perfect location for walking our dog.

Cliff Cottage 2 is situated within 5 minutes walk to a wonderful beach.

It is also just 5 minutes walk to two excellent pubs and a little shop at the garage. You have easy access to coast path walks in either direction, both equally scenic, with stunning beaches! The cottage was spotless, well equipped and spacious. Beds were comfy and there is a sea view from the master bedroom! The bathroom was downstairs and very large! Access to a washing machine is available (in the owners house) but is not in the cottage. Loo roll, bedding, towels & tea towels provided. Remember to take tea, coffee, sugar, oil etc.

A lovely cozy home within minutes of Hive beach.

Alan and Jill have thought of everything you could need for your holiday away. Lovely places to visit within a short drive or enjoy the amazing views on walks just minutes from your door. Would recommend cliff farm, and will definitely return again!

We were all delighted with our stay.

The cottage was perfect for us and our three dogs. It was beautifully clean, exactly as pictured on the website and the owners were kind, friendly and very helpful. A lovely spot, close to the village itself and lots of great walks for us and the dogs. All excellent and we hope to visit again.

This was our 5th stay at Cliff Farm, which says it all really.

Lovely clean accomodation, large front lawned area for the two dogs. Minutes to the beach in one direction, minutes to the two village pubs the other way. West Bay is walkable, Bridport a very short drive away. Jill & Alan the owners are not intrusive at all, however they are always there on hand if you need help. We will be back in March 2024!!

Jill and Alan always make us feel at home, this year tactfully showed us one of their smart new holiday bungalows (the absence of stairs may suit our advancing years), so we immediately booked one for next year. Couldn't resist it.

What an amazing week we have just had with our 2 dogs at the wonderful Cliff farm No.

2 Cottage. The owners Alan and Jill are fabulous they are so very helpful and they care about the property and that is absolutely reflected in everything about it When we arrived the first thing that we noticed was how clean and pristine the cottage was we were even greeted with a lovely bottle of wine. Beyond this amazing property are the views and the walks, you can almost park up your car and not need it again until you are ready to leave. If you want hill and cliff side walking, you have it, if you want the beach, you have it, local shops and pubs its all right on the doorstep. I can clearly see why people that book here return year after year after year. Thank you to the owners Alan and Jill for allowing us to experience this little bit of peace and tranquillity in amazing surroundings.

The owners were so kind and helpful.

The cottage is situated in a perfect place for walking on the cliffs and only minutes away in the car from the local beach and the village and only 2 miles from Bridport. We didn't need to go any further afield. The cottage was spotless on arrival, very comfortable, warm and very well equipped. A haven to relax in before and after a trip out. We had 3 dogs with us and it was very easy to walk them in the garden or local area. The bathroom and separate loo are on the ground floor and are modern and clean. The kitchen is modern and lovely and links through to the separate lounge which is light, cosy and comfortable. All in all a first class place to enjoy a relaxing break. Thank you Alan and Jill, we will see you again.

Cracking location for humans and dogs alike.

We were very lucky with the weather and to enjoy long walks along the coastal paths. The 'Hive Cafe' was a favourite as was the evening meal at the 'Anchor' Saltown. Our hosts were very helpful when asked questions about the locality and mentioned a number of times that if we wanted anything then just ask.

The owners were fantastic and everything was very stress free, we feel very lucky to have discovered such a gem.

Lovely quiet place with plenty to do locally could do with some storage space in the kitchen for food and a tea towel but more than happy to rebook with lovely owners and nice and warm to .

Fabulous place, you only have to look at the advance bookings to see how popular it is.

Jill & Alan, the owners are so helpful, but not intrusive, the village is lovely, with two great pubs. We took our two dogs who loved the large garden, which has a security light, so you can see where they are late at night. We stayed in July & October 2020 & cant wait to go back in March next year.

Heaven, is how we can describe this holidays, Jill and Alan are adorable, friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we have everything you need, they didn't even mind one of my cheeky boys sneaking around to their storage room as he knew they kept some food there.

Very close to the coastal path & Hive beach & cafe (which served fantastic fish & chips). The cottage is in a beautiful setting & Jill & Alan were always around in case of need but never intrusive. We had a fantastic time & would go back there for sure.

We had a great time despite distancing restrictions.

Local shops were open and covid compliant and so felt safe. The kitchen has recently been updated and as we spent a lot of time cooking our own food this was a nice addition. Ths grounds are always immaculate and safe for the kids.

Jill and Alan are the perfect hosts, a genuine welcome, nothing too much trouble - if a certain firm of lager brewers did holidays.

.. Clean and comfortable accommodation. beautiful surroundings, a sea view from the bedroom window, the perfect way to enjoy that morning cuppa. Lost count of how many visits, says it all.

The cottage is in an amazing location, surrounded by fields but is only a few minutes walk across fields to Hive Beach.

The sea can be heard and seen from the bedroom window. The owners, Jill & Alan were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, a complementary bottle of wine was a really nice touch. Very good parking. The village of Burton Bradstock is only a few minutes walk with 2 pubs serving meals. Lots of walks can be done from the cottage, if that's what you want and the X53 bus runs through the village, albeit it rather infrequent.

As a family we really enjoy staying here and have been 4 times already.

It is a very relaxing and quiet location and the owners are fantastic.

The owners were friendly and very welcoming. The location was perfect for coastal walks and access to the beach is a short walk across the field next door, where there is also a lovely beach cafe. Located a short drive from other beaches and towns, Would highly recommend and love to come back.

A great little cottage in the most amazing location.

Just a few minutes walk to the beach and town but also close enough to visit nearby sites. The children were entertained at all times with the sheep and lambs on the property. Highly recommended for a very relaxing, scenic holiday.

The Cottage was very clean and comfortable, beautifully situated for the village, the cliff top coastal walks and the beach. An excellent base for exploring Dorset but equally a destination in itself - you could easily manage here without a car. the views from the large and airy cottage bedrooms were wonderful and it was lovely on the hottest afternoon to sit quietly in the living room listening to the sea, watching the birds and the sheep and feeling the fresh breezes. Great cottage with lovely owners and a fantastic location (beach, cliff walks, lovely village and great farm). The cottage is surprisingly spacious - we had both the trundle bed and the cot in the master bedroom and there was plenty of room to spare. They also have a high chair, which it doesn't state in the listing. Parking was easy and you could straight from the cottage to the beach. Would love to go back! Stayed June 2017

We have been regulars since first discovering this wonderful spot in 2010 - this was our ninth visit. Our hosts Jill and Alan have an eye for detail, are genuinely welcoming and make us feel at home. The place is always very clean and comfortable, the furniture and fixtures of high quality.
