“We had a lovely time staying at the cottage, the surrounding area is stunning.”

Being dog walkers we found some great walks from the cottage but also got in the car to strike further afield. The cottage is comfortable and provided everything we needed.

The property

A chocolate box cottage complete with roses around the door, Apple Tree Cottage is in the heart of Burton Bradstock next to the post office.

This quaint village is made up of cute thatched cottages, twisting country lanes, pretty gardens and a picturesque river.

With it’s cosy sitting room/study with a log effect gas fire and kitchen breakfast room that leads into the cottage garden you can be assured of the full cottage experience.

The village has a shop and choice of two pubs each serving good food and ales and the village tea rooms are there for morning coffee or afternoon tea.

The beach is an easy walk from the cottage and has wonderful cliff views, access to the South West coast path and a highly commended beach cafe called 'The Hive' which serves a variety of local food and drinks.

An outing to West Bay, which is approximately three miles away, gives you a chance to explore the colourful fishing harbour and to sample locally caught crabs and lobsters as well as local ice cream.

Haddon House is often recommended for Sunday lunch.

The Market Town of Bridport with it’s famous antiques market is just 4 miles drive away and worth a visit.

If you dream of finding fossil’s then the beautiful Charmouth beach is a short drive to the west from Apple Tree cottage.
