“A fabulous little cottage in the heart of beaminster.”

Would highly recommend this cottage as a central base as close to Bridport, West Bay, Hive Beach and other local attractions. Only thing I would suggest is more cutlery, a full length mirror on the landing outside bathroom. In the main bedroom I as the beams (which are a beautiful feature) are low that the bed be turned so that the headboard is under the lower part of the ceiling and the dressing table by the window so that there is natural light on the mirror. But we loved it so much we have ...

“Lovely little cottage a real home from home The cottage generally had things we needed The only problems were , When we arrived both the rubbish and recycling bins were completly full so it was difficult for us to use The general cleanliness of the cottage wasn’t very good , shower head and glass walls dirty.”

Dust and cobwebs in lots of places The living room windows were very dirty There wasn’t a washing machine so I hand washed a few bits but there wasn’t even a washing line or pegs so I had to drape things over the garden chairs to dry. Also no iron We stay here again but would need to bring things with us if they’re not going to be supplied

I appreciate the feedback regarding the rubbish removal and cleaning and will consult with our cleaning service to address these problems in the future. I am sorry that you required a washing machine but this is not listed as a utility that is available at our cottage. Any guest requiring laundry services should contact the help line for further options. We however, would be happy to provide an iron and ironing board. “We spent a lovely week in Half Pint Cottage.”

It was well appointed and was very well equipped (although previous guests had hidden broken glasses at the back of the cupboard!) The garden was well attended to and safely fenced for the dog!!!! We were aware of the slanting ceilings in the bedroom but not warned there were beams downstairs. My husband learned to duck the hard way! We really enjoyed our stay and found there were several pet friendly pubs and cafes nearby. I hope we will be able to stay there again. We loved it. (Bonus that there is a parking space for one car right by the front door!)

“I have to say that I was disappointed that the low beams on the ground floor were not in the description, we allowed for this in the bedroom but not downstairs.”

My husband is 6ft4 and banged his head several times. The garden was very weedy and was very much needing attention. Cleaning was a little slapdash and the towels were quite worn. We did find the mattress very soft to which gave us backache. We did find that there was a lot of furnishings for a small property. There was only one hanger in either bedrooms which I would recommend getting a few more and also surprised there wasnt a hairdryer! I didnt bring one with me! the dining table is far too big and awkward. The location was perfect but Im afraid I would recommend the property personally.

“Loved the location and the cottage .”

Fantastic walks for us and our dog Couple of things I would recommend to the owner is some small outside seating area and maybe a big garden cleanup . Grass was very long and hedges are very overgrown. Gate needs a lock on it . Inside some cushions for the kitchen seating area and a small coffee table in living room . Other than that very charming band comfortable. Would love to return
