It was a great base for days out, the garden space was lovely to relax in, and having cows in the field behind the cottage was lovely for the kids.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the standard of cleanliness. There were noticeable stains on the rug in the lounge, the bedroom carpets, and the dining chairs. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the standard of cleanliness. There were noticeable stains on the rug in the lounge, the bedroom carpets, and the dining chairs. We also found thick dust and dirt on the skirting boards and under the radiators, as well as mould on the back of one of the doors. More worryingly, some personal items had been left behind, including a used earplug, a bra, mascara, and a dirty tissue.
We had also requested an infant cot and did find one stored in a cupboard, but no sheets were provided, which made it unusable during our stay.
The cottage has lots of potential thanks to its setting, outdoor space, and location, but it really needs more attention to cleanliness and guest preparation in order to be as enjoyable as it should be.
