Mallows Byre

Mallows Byre is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage.

It's in a peaceful spot with lovely views from the attractive garden and lots of birdlife to enjoy - plus visits from a busy local cat just passing through. The village itself is well worth walking around (great coffee shop), and is ideally located for National Trust members as several lovely properties are within a short drive. Thank you, Daphne and Rob, for sharing this lovely cottage and for your friendly welcome and help.

Mallows Byrne is a lovely holiday cottage that we highly recommend.

It was comfortable, very clean, spacious, beautifully fitted out and had everything you could possibly need. Daphne's cake was delicious. Both the cottage and outdoor area are very well kept with peaceful and beautiful views. The host Rob was often on-hand, was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. This property is a gem.

There is a very generous sized living/dining room and everything else needed for a comfortable and restful break. The rear and side back on to perfect Dorset countryside best viewed from the upstairs bedroom picture window.

Really nice location, very pretty countryside with some good walks.

White Hart food very good and would recommend the Parlour restaurant as well. Thanks Rob for being a friendly host.

We loved our stay at Mallows Byre.

It was lovely and clean and everything you need in the kitchen. The owner had left a lemon drizzle cake that she had baked, it was a nice touch and very tasty. The village has a pub called The White Hart, which was great for a couple of meals. We loved Yoevil, which is the nearest town. The garden had a lovely view over trees. I would recommend a stay at this comfortable property.

Lovely cottage in a lovely village with everything you could need.

The beds were comfortable. Spacious garden with lots of seating areas and great view. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend a stay in this beautiful area of Dorset

Absolutely the best self catering we have ever stayed in.

So well equipped and peaceful that sometimes we just wanted to stay in and look at the fantastic scenery around. Owners were so helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble. Will definately return as soon as we can.

We had a lovely 1 week stay at Mallows Byre.

Everything that you could need was supplied by the really friendly hosts. The cottage was spotless and well decorated. There is plenty of parking on the quiet road and nice to be able to walk to the local pub which does good food. There are walks from the door and lots of places to visit within 45 minutes drive. Great to just relax in the garden and enjoy the view too.

We had such a lovely time at Mallows Byre, the cottage had everything we needed and more, everything was just perfect.

The garden was very private with lots of different seating areas and the views from the garden were amazing, the village was beautiful and the weather couldn't have been any better! Our hosts Daphne and Rob were the loveliest people, so friendly and helpful and there if you needed anything. The homemade cake was the best ever. We really didn't want to leave and cant wait to book to go there again. Thank you Daphne and Rob and see you again soon!

What an amazing weekend away!

The cottage was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and spent most of the weekend in the garden, enjoying the view and watching the birds. With a pub and coffee shop in walking distance, what more could you want!

This holiday was one of the most relaxing.

With such a big garden, with lovely views, loads of birdsong and very private. The house is comfortable and relaxing as it is well organised and such a practical kitchen too. The village is quiet and in a beautiful part of the world.
