Description

Set behind the owners’ ancient farmhouse, and sensitively converted from a 300-year-old stone barn, Droop Farm Cottage has plenty to offer a group of family or friends seeking to get away from it all.

You will be impressed by the elegant and homely feel throughout, wonderful welcome basket provided with Tracey's own homemade marmalade and cake!

With the exterior stone work representing everything that is quintessential about small, English cottages.

The small windows and slate roof really add to the character, with the interior carefully thought out to provide the best experience for visiting guests.

The décor and soft furnishings give a sense of continuity as you pass through from room to room.

Outside, there is plenty of room to explore as well as space to sit and admire the views which stretch off into the distance towards Bulbarrow Hill.

If peace and privacy are high on your list, then this is a perfect choice for your holiday.

The three bedrooms are spread across both floors; the first of the double beds is located on the ground floor, while the second double room and third twin room are on the ground floor.

One family bathroom can be found on the first floor, hosting bath with separate shower, WC and Basin.

The modern kitchen dining area has everything you could ever need, and leads into the living room which features comfy seating and TV with Freeview.

A tranquil, rural village sat just outside of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Hazelbury Bryan is a small, traditional village with thatched buildings, a parish church dating back prior to the 15th century and a popular pub that was built in 1750, it also boasts a Spar shop.

In the village there is also a field with cricket and football facilities as well as a children’s play area.

Droop Farm Cottage is great for families looking to have a quiet country retreat away from the madness of everyday life.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage.

Absolutely beautiful house in amazing grounds. The owners were fantastic. Extremely welcoming and helpful. Lovely welcome pack of home made cake, marmalade and basic essentials. Very comfortable and would definitely recommend. Looking forward to our next visit.

Our second stay at this wonderful cottage set in relative isolation.

Firstly the welcome gifts were probably the best out of any accommodation we have visited. The whole concept of Droop Farm Cottage is to provide the visitor with ultimate comfort, relaxation and satisfaction. Plenty of wildlife visit the extensive garden including deer, badgers, foxes, rabbits and pheasant. The land features a Rookery with plenty of associated noise but this switches off at dusk. Dear owners, thank you for making this wonderful accommodation available. John Joff and Tess.

Tracy and David Collins were perfect hosts, lovely welcome pack of goodies (Marmalade, Bread, Eggs, Milk etc) on arrival and the cottage was perfect for our family of five and faithful Vizzy hound.

Setting of the cottage was lovely, quintessential English countryside at its best. Good tip is to use The Antelope pub as your SatNav target and take the lane beside the War Cenotaph up to Droop Farm - otherwise the satnav gets a wee bit confused. Special thankyou to Tracy for offering to post onward a few nick nacks that my daughters left behind and also very grateful for the late check-out on our final day. We shall definitely return !!
