Little Gull Cottage

This is a great 3 bed cottage in a really good location.

The welcome care pack was a great touch. Tbh it was pretty much perfect for us and I wouldn't hesitate in booking this property again if I ever return to Weymouth.

Great location , lovely cottage .

We brought towels etc realizing we didn’t need them !!! As the itinerary was so very good - even salt and vinegar in the cupboard for the famous Bennett fresh fish and chips . Couldn’t ask for anymore and to top it off the free welcome gift pack was brilliant !!We enjoyed the chocolates and biscuits and took the remaining Dorset tea and special coffee home , such a lovely surprise !! Thank you . Weymouth gives so much for the tourist and we will definitely be coming back .Hopefully Little Gull cottage will be available again Many thanks Nicholas, Sue and SP And of course our little Pomeranian

The cottage is in a good location and parking wasn’t an issue, as we mainly used North Quay Car Park.

The internet is fast and the lounge is a nice space. The larger bedroom on the first floor was capacious and comfortable. The mattress on the top floor double was way too soft. The cleaning was superficial. There was dog hair under cushions, in the corners of the sofa and on a foot stool. Many of the dishes, mugs and pans etc were dirty and obviously hadn’t been checked. Chopping knives had broken handles and the plastic chopping boards were way beyond keeping. The yard looked scruffy and stuff was strewn about. The welcome pack of food bits was nice. The second pack of cleaning items was a waste; it included 3 dishwasher tabs for a property that doesn’t have a dishwasher and it was just more cardboard and paper packaging that couldn’t be recycled unless we took it home with us. It was an unseasonably cold May and we were able to keep warm in the cottage, albeit with streaming eyes because of all the dog hair! NB the stairs from the ground floor are very steep and it’s hard to get in and out of the bath to shower. The bedding was very clean.

Wonderful seaside break The cottage felt really homely and had everything we needed, the harbour is lovely with all the cafes and bars.

We have stayed with Sykes before and they always have lovely quality bedding and comfortable beds - would love to return soon

Immaculate clean and ideally situated for all amenities in Weymouth.

Parking on street was ok but Asda do a parking permit 5 minutes away.

Little Gull Cottage was everything we expected and more.

Clean, comfortable and excellent attention to detail. It is very well located in the centre of Weymouth with lots of good places to eat and drink within a short walk.

Yet again little Gull cottage was perfect for our needs.

It was clean and very comfortable again. We were impressed with the updated welcome pack as it gave us a nice starter for our stay. The only grievance was that a bag of rubbish and soiled towels had been left inside the front room by the previous guests. Despite that we hope to return again next year.

A great cottage near harbour, beach & shops cottage had everything you need for a stay.

it was immaculate, the beds were very comfy with lovely fresh bedding. Everything about little gull cottage was just perfect. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back

Gull cottage was very comfortable and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.

Disappointingly our rubbish was not collected over our two week stay. The sink in the bathroom was also partially blocked and emptied very slowly. This was reported in previous reviews but clearly remained unresolved.

Perfect cosy but airy cottage, ideally situated for town and beaches, would recommend using North quay carpark it's only meters away.

We (a family of 4) really enjoyed our stay at Little Gull Cottage.

Accessing the cottage by key box is convenient and efficient. The cottage is cosy and warm (writing in December), with all the facilities for cooking, TV, and three comfortable bedrooms. Welcome hamper was a nice touch. The cottage is a short walk from the town centre, a nice old pub, a large supermarket and the beach. It is also a pleasant walk to Nothe Gardens and the South West Coastal footpath, where I walked the dog every day. Plenty of parking nearby. Only reservations were minor: no soap/shampoo in the bathroom (while towels were in plentiful supply); some of the single bed slats had a tendency to fall out if you didn't lay on the bed carefully. Also worth noting the stairs are steep so wouldn't suit the infirm (not a problem for us). But overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay and a well merited 5 star rating.

We had a wonderful holiday, despite the weather.

Little Gull was excellent for cleanliness and so we're the facilities. The beds were very comfortable so sleep was not a problem. All the local attractions were well within walking distance as was the Asda supermarket. The only problem for us was the bathroom sink was blocked and took a long time to empty.

Really clean, well furnished property with everything we needed for our stay.

We cooked most nights and the only thing I could have done with was a potato peeler! Beds were really comfy. The harbour and beach were minutes away. Lovely stay!

We had a great stay and the welcome hamper and pint of milk was very much appreciated. The cottage was perfect for our needs and I would not only use it again, but highly recommend it to my friends. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at Gull Cottage.

It was like walking into a tardis….really impressed by the space especially on floors two and three. Ground floor was cosy but really well laid out and one of the best equipped kitchens we have come across. All the beds were comfortable and decor/furniture modern and cleverly put together….nautical theme of course! Walking distance to the Marina/centre of town/beach/supermarket and harbour. Parking isn’t a given. We were lucky two nights out of three. Lots of local car parks in walking distance though. Would definitely reccomend. Blip with the TV in lounge on the last night…hope now sorted. We were slightly cold at night….Duvet in main bedroom was on the thin side. Bit unclear re rubbish collection…. no mention re recycling items….a green box in the yard for that???? Seemed a shame to have to put everything in the bin. The plastic matting by the front door a great idea but abit lethal as moves. One other thought…clothes drier for inside use would have been useful. Lovely stay…. Comments to hopefully help rather than criticism.

Comfy beds and linens. Great shower (although access would be a bit difficult for anyone with reduced mobility) and nice big bath towels too! Location perfect for a short stroll to harbour, beach and town centre and steps away from two traditional and friendly pubs. Great welcome pack with essentials and goodies too! Thank you!
