New building finished and furnished to a high standard.

Helpful owners who answer questions quickly. Great location a short walk from the high street and station. The house is spotless. Could park more cars out front on the drive (3 or 4). Generally well equipped though no coffee machine as it had gone wrong but not been replaced! Also no proper blind or curtain in top floor bedroom, just a piece of blackout fabric to Velcro onto the awkward shaped window (have to stand on a chair to reach). Our stay was during a week with temperatures in excess of 30C and when we arrived the house had been unoccupied for a few days. The house faces into the sun and the front is mostly glass. Opening the door was like walking in to an oven! Despite opening all the doors and windows we couldn’t get the room temperatures down to anything comfortable and the first afternoon/evening the only room we could be in was the downstairs bedroom opening on to the garden. We had a very uncomfortable and oppressive night, the top floor was like a sauna, we were all pretty miserable, Opening the windows had also filled the house with tiny flies and mosquitoes. However, once we cooled the house down over night it was bearable and through leaving doors and windows open with curtains drawn, we couldn’t manage the heat. The owners were not given planning permission to install air con and are considering buying some units, this is a must. We can’t recommend booking during the summer months in case of higher temperatures, but this would make a great place to stay off season currently.

Sea Ferne house 36b is a lovely place to stay.

It was very clean and had everything you would need for a lovely stay. Loved the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the 3 bathrooms, not had that before. It took approximately 15 mins to walk to the shopping centre and 20 minutes for somewhere to eat out. The supermarket was very close by. Well done to the owners on their new venture.

A fabulous new accommodation in a convenient location for exploring Poole and the surrounding area.

The local bus services are very good and the open top bus is a great way to visit Sandbanks and Swanage, Corfe Castle etc. Would recommend a visit to the RNLI college Riggers restaurant or the bar above for good food and views. As we were travelling with a baby access to a washing machine would have been nice. The property does get very hot because of all the windows and patio doors to make the most of the wonderful view. At night mosquitos were a nuisance sleeping with windows open (especially the first floor) so we bought plug in mosquito repellents from Boots which helped. The week went far too quickly and wished we were staying for longer.
