Very clean and cosy but the decor was dated.

Description said towels were not included so took small amount but they actually were so wish we had known beforehand. Microwave was musty.A second shower fitted over the bath would have been useful . We enjoyed our stay and felt that most things we needed were provided

The front and back garden was disappointing (although the owner did apologize in the notes to the property) it was have been good to have WIFI it's unusual not to.

Also a dishwasher.

We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the accommodation and how quiet despite being near a busy road, it was a 20 minute walk from swanage so ideal for us and our dogs

Wonderful stay in Sanjernin, Swanage with my daughter.

Beautifully clean, newly decorated, comfy bed, good kitchen equipment. Great central position for touring around the area. Bus stop outside the bungalow, convenience store closby. I couldn't get DVD or CD player to work but everything else great.

The Christmas card plus biscuits and bottles of wine upon arrival was very welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped, but maybe an air fryer would be a useful addition. We managed well without wi- fi, despite having a 13 year old with us. We came home feeling very relaxed from the sea air, despite lots if lovely walks.

Nice and clean , could do with a key safe at the front , we arrived in the dark.

The left side at the front ,(Narrow walkway )is a trip hazard. Get rid of the 2 courses of bricks. And put a taller board or proper gate. However apart from this , we felt the dogs were reasonable safe with the enclosed gardens to the front and rear , the nearby pub and shop and Indian.( Takeaway) very good. And friendly staff. The parking space at the back is great has the front of house on street parking is pretty much unavailable. The hot water for the bath is good. Just need to run the tap slowly so the combo boiler can heat the water Otherwise it’s just warm , We liked the Christmas Trees and decorations. It felt very homely. Would recommend it. To anyone . I’m a carpenter / builder maintenance guy , the only thing that needs a bit attention is the Roof light Aperture linings bit is damp seal primer. Will sort that out , all the best mark Allen

My Friend and myself have always enjoyed staying at this bungalow I will say we have had issues with the toilet in the bathroom in two of our stays but it was sorted and then all was fine we were sorry to see that it was up for sale when we arrived this year so no more holidays in this bungalow it is in the ideal spot with a bus stop outside and a very good convenience store just two doors away will be sorry to no longer be able to stay there it’s like visiting an old friend

Sanjernin would of been a perfect bungalow for a family stay with pets.

Unfortunately it requires a deep clean the floors in kitchen and bathrooms need a good scrub, front and back doors we're difficult to lock, one of the flags on the steps in garden is loose, under all the furniture was Thick fur and dust. On the plus the beds we're clean and comfortable so was the furniture. We have always used sykes for our holidays and have never been disappointed with the standard of the cottages but sanjernin left a lot to be desired, we shall not be returning.

Black mould in bedroom. Sky lights in lounge and bathroom leak when it rains. Poor housekeeping. Dangerous steps at rear of property slabs loose. Hardly any of the doors shut. No where to hang coats. Will not be using Sykes again. Do not recommend this property. Needs a serious refurb.

The outside & gardens are in need of some urgent maintenance.

The rear garden is full of weeds and the paving is very dirty, full of moss and slippery when wet. There are multiple plant pots full of weeds and rainwater, but worse than that is the large section of brick wall between the upper and lower sections of the garden which is not secure and about to fall over. The derelict summer house is also an eyesore; and spoils any intention of sitting outside amongst the weeds. There is a note stating the garden will be tidied dating from April and several other guests this summer have noted it was not done during their stay. The skylight in the lounge leaks and drips on the carpet when it rains. Most of the doors don't shut properly, and I even had to rescrew one of the handles as it was extremely loose. All of the locks need either greasing or replacing as we found it difficult to open and close; having to jiggle the key multiple times. I would also suggest maybe descaling the shower head too! It also would have been nice to have had a washer and dryer - as it was wet and difficult to dry clothes otherwise. In positive notes, the location for us was excellent, being handy for walking and having a shop 2 doors down was very convenient. This could be an amazing rental property with a bit of TLC and maintenance.

A few things that could have been better - the garden space needed a tidy the pots were just weeds and the patio needed weeding and powerwashing. But I hear this is being done next week. The bottom gate isn’t secure for small dogs like ours ( one is a chihuahua so he could escape) Some instructions on how to get the the back of the property by car would be very useful: took us about half an hour to work it out. No wifi is obviously an issue for the kids but they actually didn’t mind too much in the end! Great amount of plates bowls and cutlery which we thought was good and supplied with towels which was great too. Beds are sooooo comfortable! There was a high chair available which was so useful and a cot also which was nice and clean. Overall we will be back! Thank you

We found the house spacious and well appointed.

A good location with plenty to do around it. There were a few minor points which could addressed: 1 : no dishwasher but tablets provided. 2: no shelves in either the bathroom or shower room for tooth brushes or soap. A hook on the back of the bathroom door would be nice. Also, bath mats would be handy. 3: the front garden was strimmed whilst were there but, the back patio is in need of a power wash and weeds removing. 4: overall the property could do with a deep clean from time to time. 5: the velux window in the shower room leaks when it rains. These are suggestions not criticisms. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Generally pleased with our stay.

Front and rear gardens were fairly run down A pressure wash and general tidy would improve the initial impression. No information on how to access the rear of the property to collect the key and also for parking. The seafront is at least a mile away. So needed to use the car as my wife unfortunately cannot walk long distances. No information about local dog walks. Nice and clean functional interior. Very good value for money. Thank you.

Great for dogs and families

A little dated but extremely good value for money.

We have stayed in more luxurious places but we have paid a lot more money to do so, so all in all we were very satisfied. A nice quiet location but not far from the main sites such as Lulworth cove and Durdle Door, and in easy reach of Swanage itself.. The lack of wifi might be an issue to some, but not us, we holiday to forget the modern world, it just meant that we only had for channels with nothing on them instead of hundreds.

Settee cushions are worn . Lobby near back door not very clean. Rear gate broken. Recommend Wi-Fi is installed.

The toilet in the ensuite bathroom made an awful screeming noise when flushed it must have been reported as I had a call saying that someone from Jurassic Sparkes would be coming to repair it and to leave the keys in the key safe as we were going out but when we got back the repair had not been done we were not back long from our day out when someone was banging on the door he complianed that he had tried to gain access to do the repair but no one was in I told him that david had told me to put the keys in the key safe did he not tell you the same thing and that I did not come away on holiday to wait in for repair men he also told me that he needed to repair the kitchen blind as we could not lower it at night he did come the next day while we were out but he left grit from the hard water all over the bathroom floor used nearly a whole toilet roll presumingley to mop up water and while repairing one probem caused another this time when the toilet was flushed the ballcock was catchng on the overflow pipe in the cistern causing the toilet to keep filling and overflow outside onto the slabs and left a large puddle also we could still not put the blind down in the kitchen as he had either made the chain too short or put the joiner in the wrong place as when the blind was lowered it stopped at the joiner and still did not reach the bottom of the window we were not happy that these prroblems were not addressed before we came as you have 7 hours to sort things out also may I suggest that you have an in line filter in the cold water feed to the property as it stops all the calcium build up on all the pipes and washing machine kettle and toilets saving you money in the long run

Nice bungalow got all facilities you require plus bus stop nearby.

Only used bathroom with shower until last day then used 2nd bathroom turned light on with fan incorporated the noise was awful turned off immediately.As we eat out never used any other utensils in kitchen except kettle.

Extremely conveniently placed for amenities, beach, Corfe castle and super walks.

Comfortable beds, clean linen. Although it was stated that towels were not provided there were ample there, which would save transporting them from home. Perhaps the description could be updated. Enclosed patio garden although with many weeds, perfect for dogs. Really enjoyed our week. We would stay here again.

My family have stayed at Sanjernin at least three times before.

Sadly this visit was not up to the usual standard. The Ironing board is broken and the hoover had a smell to it. I had to clean the mugs with Milton as they were so stained. Whoever used the oven did not clean the various trays as they had been clearly used. The issue with Wifi is a constant one and considering the price, I would be happy to pay a bit more for the use of the Wifi. The issues, apart form the Wifi might be down to the fact that we were there at the end of the season. In down time the living area carpet will require a good clean to remove all the stains. We all try to do our bit to make the venue acceptable for the next guests but I would like to think that the designate cleaner has a better look around to ensure it is in a better condition that for our stay.

Great holiday house.

Lots of space for the kids. Only issue was no Wi-Fi.

The property could benefit from WI-FI not just so holiday -ers to access the full use of the TV [ ie use own codes for nexfix`s etc ].

but in this da and age it is the easy way to find out what is going on in the town and local area and the hoover needs cleaning out , it makes the house smell of dog . when used .

Lovely property in a good location, but it is a 15 min walk to the town and 20 min to the beach.

Due to the heat this was a bit far out so had to use the car a fair bit, but handy to have costcutters on your doorstep as well as a reasonable pub (No food service though), good curry house and fish and chips. Would recommend the Black Swan for food, which was 10 min walk away, but you have to book as very popular! My only negative comment would be finding the parking space, as Sat Nav took us to the High st. Had to ring on neighbours door to get directions. This should be made clearer on booking.

Had a great week at the cottage.

Centrally located to explore the area or just spend some time at the beach. Was a little worried about not having Wifi but the 4G coverage is strong and didn't miss it in the end. (Dog owners beware of the thorn bushes beside the car parking area and around. Our dog took a wrong step but she was totally fine after some TLC. Not to worry.) Overall a very cozy spot. Had a lovely week in sanjernin Good size rooms, very well equipped had everything we needed.

A fan would be nice Would say there was a few cobwebs about and in the double bedroom around the chest of drawers needed a good hoover, the one thing i would say lets the place down is all the weeds in the back garden and dead plants in plant pots. A few things that need attention are : 1= lock on the back gate, 2 = pole missing for the outside umbrella

We absolutely loved our stay, so clean, well equipped and plenty of space.

Even a welcoming milk in the fridge to make a cuppa with when we first arrived! We loved it so much, have booked for next year!

Hot water was sporadic, not adequate for a shower or to fill the bath, washing the crockery needed a boiled kettle.

The smell of mould was very strong in the front bedroom, however the beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was immaculately clean.

We loved our break here so much we have booked again for later this year.

Great location for a holiday in Swanage, this house had everything we needed for a great little holiday.

In desperate need of modernisation, and certain areas need an upgrade.

Good position, walkable to Swanage, close to local shop. Good base for holiday attractions.

We had a lovely time staying at Sanjernin.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Extra touches of Tea milk and sugar and a lovely bunch of flowers on arrival were appreciated. We did have an issue with a door lock but we contacted the owner who arranged for a locksmith straight away. The only thing I think the property could benefit from is an outdoor keysafe. We would certainly consider returning to the property.

This was my 3rd year at Sanjernin and I still love it , it's a godsend to have this bungalow allowing 3 dogs and having the enclosed garden , I will be back again.

It would be a great help if the fencing qt the rear had the property name on it.

As we were told not to arrive until 5pm by Sykes Cottages it was very difficult to find in the dark. The bungalow appeared to be in some form of updating .

This is a beautifully presented bungalow with access to miles of walks and the beach without having to use a car.

And a superbly staffed and stocked shop just three doors away make life really easy

Location, bungalow and accurate communication made for a perfect holiday.

Had a lovely week here, the cottage is very old fashioned, abit like your Grandmas house, but we liked this - it made it feel homely.

The beds and sofas are very comfortable. The road at the front is quite busy, but sitting in the lounge at the back you barely notice it. Its very convenient for local shop, Indian Takeaway and fish & chips. Only a short walk into Swanage too, which is a lovely seaside town. Overall we had a great holiday. Would love to return but Sykes have bumped up the prices so much i dont think we will.

Great accomodation in an ideal location for easy access to walks, town centre and beach.

The bungalow itself is in a really quiet spot and was ideal for our 3 dogs, who found the enclosed garden area perfect to wonder around in. Others have mentioned that this accomodation has no Internet access. Personally I wouldn't change this. We found it great to switch off for a few days and enjoy our surroundings!

Slept very well on the comfy beds. Plenty of space for our children and our dogs. Quiet end of town , and in a brilliant convenient position for all amenities.

A pleasant, light, spacoius bungalow, with lovely distant views.

Very close to excellent shop and bus stop to and from town. It ticked ALL the boxes.

Really needs WiFi these days as a basic requirement.

This is a spacious property well placed for getting out and about but the property was let down by the fact that it was not very clean, quite a lot of the crockery was chipped and dirty it had to be cleaned before we would use them even though you took an extra two hours for cleaning .

The information on the property stated no towels, so we took them only to find there were towels . The property would benefit if it had WIFI and the bedding needs an update (who uses duvet and sheets). The paved garden was good for the dog but all the pots on the patio need a tidy.

My second year staying at sanjernin, I love this bungalow, perfect for the dogs and ourselves and as we only had one vehicle this year we didn't need to find extra parking on the road.

I will most definitely be back next year.!

The property was basic as was expected although comfortable but we do not think additional cleaning had been done in view of the Covid 19 situation.

Also 1. there were items of food left in the freezer (ice cream) and in the cupboard (including an open packet of pasta ) which we believe should have been removed due to Covid 19 2, there were a lot of unnecessary ornaments and soft furnishing which we feel should have been removed due to Covid 19 Other points to note - we expected the en-suite bathroom to include a shower - although this was not a major problem the details on your website should make it clear it does not have a shower.in the ensuite The back garden was uninviting to sit out in and could have been made more presentable - there were old plant pots everywhere, some with dead or dying plants. We would suggest these are removed. Having said the above we enjoyed our stay. It was in a good situation in walking distance to the town.

It was very comfy and warm well equped was not that close to town wifi would make it perfect shop and pub very handy fish and chip shop lovely all in all ideal for us and dogs

Cottage was lovely and clean, very comfortable and even though it is on a busy road it was nice and quiet!

It was only a ten minute walk to town which was not to bad at all! The only down side was the no wi-if.

The location is perfect, next to 2 pubs, 2 take aways & a convenience store. It has it's own private parking space at the rear & secure garden for our 2 dogs. Swanage town & beach is an easy 15 min walk but if you prefer there is a bus stop outside. There is loads to do in the area. There were 2 bathrooms in the bungalow - one en suit - which was very useful for us. The owner kindly set up some Xmas decorations for us & left a card, bottle of wine & chocolates which were very welcome ! We would definitely come back & recommend to others. The only things we needed were a few coat hooks in the porch to hang our wet coats when it rained but it's a great place & that's an observation not a complaint

Sanjernin is in a good location.

The property was well furnished and decorated. The beds were comfortable. The perpetrators was well equipped. We had no problems finding the bungalow and the gardens were dog secure. Unfortunately the property has a severe damp problem. The problem is not just one of insufficient ventilation in a property unoccupied for a while. The smell was bad and permeated all our clothes including outdoor coats which are difficult to desmell. The bedroom carpet in the front bedroom was wet by the window not just damp. There is significant mould growth in at least one corner of that bedroom, in the shower room, up the curtains in the sitting room and on the French windows. For someone on steroids this could be very serious. It is a shame because otherwise our stay at Sanjermin would have been very enjoyable. The weather was atrocious (from 26th Oct to 2nd Nov) and normally we might have stayed in and read books (there was a brilliant supply of these in the property). Instead we had to drive around in the car. We hope it will be possible to fix this problem as in other respects the property was just fine.

Loved the bungalow it's was practically perfect for our requirements, the only thing that I would change if I could would be another parking space ( maybe a section of the large rear garden ) as I had the vehicle with the dogs in so needed the space at the rear to safely load and unload them , my mother and friend who are both getting on a bit sometimes struggled to find a space out the front , if if had just been the one vehicle though then it would have been perfect :-) We hadn't been given key / lock up instructions on departure so left it as we found it , thank you to Sykes and the Whites for helping us have a lovely holiday ( I've been home a day and I want to come back ) .

There was an inaccuracy of the access instructions on arrival.

It states that we should enter by the front where as we needed to access by the back route via three other roads to get to the rear of the property. After a long journey this involved ringing Skye who were very helpful but it was, with little remaining phone battery that we managed to find our way around the back. A map should be sent to holiday makers

Home from home, excellent accommodation.

The bungalow was nice and spacious and we had a pleasant stay.

The main improvement would have been to provide towels- it’s pretty old fashioned not to nowadays (and the listing wasn’t clear). Otherwise it was fine. Good heating and hot water and outside space.

This our 3rd year staying at Sanjernin.

We are very happy with everything and will be booking for 2020. The only thing that can make things even better would be if WiFi were available.

High price for low quality accomadation.

Where to start. First off, says in documentation, seaview. There is no way you can see the sea from this property. Description says towels provided. There were none, so we had to buy one along with washing up liquid. A note said we could use milk in the fridge to make a cup of tea on arrival, it curdled. The crockery and utensils were cheap and nasty and looked if they had been bought from a local jumble sale. There was so much clutter around we couldn't see how the property could be clean. The pillows must have been years old as none of them had any substance to them. The curtains in the front bedroom didn't close correctly. The flooring in the bathrooms was poor quality. The shower mat was filthy. The enamel was worn away on one of the washbasins. No wifi. The outside window sills and doors were filthy. One of the WC's had a permanent dribble on it and one of the taps had a constant drip. We wanted to make sandwiches but the can opener didn't work, so we had to throw the part opened can of tuna away along with six buttered slices of bread and go round to the petrol station to buy some. If you compare this property with another we rented in the New Forest, which was excellent, I would say that the rental charge should be nearer £500. It is also expensive compared to other similar properties in the area that we could have rented at a similar times through specialised cottage rental companies. Perhaps you should consider refunding us £300. About the only positive thing I could say is that it was in a good location and it was roomy, but that isn't the be all and end all.

We had previously stayed at Sanjernin so we knew what we were going to get.

The facilities are a little basic but overall it is clean, warm and good value for money and we would stay there again.

We have been coming to Swanage for many years. We were delighted with the high quality of SANJEMIN cottage. It was, by far the best accommodation that we have stayed in. We have even asked if we can book again for 2018– Stayed July 2017.

Accommodation excellent and very spacious . Very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this property. Good proximity to Swanage and to local shops.

We had a lovely week here and are very much hoping to come back in the spring. Stayed October 2017.

This is our second year staying in Sanjernin. We found the bungalow to be very well equipped, esp the kitchen. The bungalow is very clean, tidy and inviting. The Costcutter Supermarket is almost next door and had a very good Butchers counter. There is a bus stop outside Costcutter that takes you into Swanage. The is no Wifi in the bungalow but this is overcome with the use of your own Dongle We are looking to book for another two weeks next year. Stayed July 2018,
