Description

Lime Cottage is a charming, thatched home located in the Dorset village of Burton Bradstock, tucked away within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Lime Cottage, a delightful dwelling that can accommodate four people, is also close to the Jurassic Coastline and oozes style and charm, making it the ideal base for a group break to Devon.

Park up and head indoors to be welcomed by the living/dining area, replete with sofas, a Smart TV, a gas fire, exposed stonework, and original beams overhead; use this space to unwind after a day of exploration.

Prepare meals in the country-style kitchen, which is fully-equipped to ease your stay, before enjoying mealtimes indoors or outdoors in the rear garden, a suntrap during the warmer months.

Return indoors as the sun sets to unwind in one of the two bedrooms, which include a super-king-size and a twin, and both honour the house's historical roots with exposed beams throughout.

Awaken to a refreshing shower or bath, before heading into the village to fill up on necessities at the local convenience store and sample some delectable meal at The Three Horseshoes Pub.

Hive Beach lies down the coast, while West Bay Beach is close by and accessible through the Jurassic Coast walking track; for golf enthusiasts, the Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club is also nearby and well worth a visit.

Before continuing to Weymouth and its shoreline of attractions, including the Nothe Gardens, the RSPB Lodmoor, Weymouth Beach, and Alexandra Gardens, continue west to reach the Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens with the swannery nearby, where you can also don your hiking boots and make the journey up to the ruins of Abbotsbury Castle.

Plan a trip to Lime Cottage with so much to see and do.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Lime Cottage.

The property was very clean and tidy. The only thing that let the property down was the badly stained stair carpet. We enjoyed the spacious garden which is kept well.

Even though we enjoyed the cleanliness of the cottage, the stair carpet was extremely dirty.

Lots of stains on it and it spoiled the whole look of the cottage

Unfortunately, some guests are not very respectful to other peoples property .

Which is evident in the condition of the carpets, which urgently need replacing. The toilets need deep cleaning. We are really disappointed that we have had to leave a negative review as we were looking forward to visiting Burton Bradstock again and staying in Lime Cottage.
