Mr P Button
As usual, we have had a great time, re-discovering our favourite haunts in this part of Dorset, despite the weather! Thank you for the warmth – not just the turned-up thermostat on the heating but also the very welcome 'Welcome Pack' and the tastefully decorated and comfortable rooms. There's plenty of space to relax, with two sitting rooms, allowing our 'children' to plan for the next half term, us to watch the Olympics and catch up on news. Further entertainment of board games presented us with fun evenings and I'm sure we should have used the table tennis table if the weather had been finer )for us to venture into the back garden!). We've added a Murder Mystery to your games collection – always a good family laugh for grown-ups! The house is very well situated and the parking is great. We found everything we needed at Rowington – the tumble dryer and washing machine were very beneficial – a dream cottage to be recommended! Hopefully we shall return. Stayed February 2018.

Mr C Morris
Very efficient service from Dream Cottages. Any queries answered promptly and courteously and a simple, faultless booking service. 'Rowington' is a fabulous property. Edwardian style, really well presented and maintained. Great for a family - lots of space and a lovely garden in which children can safely play and adults can just relax. We have no hesitation in recommending 'Rowington' - just let us book our third stay before you book yours! Stayed August 2017

Mr Martin
Beautiful spacious property with a fantastic garden. Lovely area of Weymouth. Stayed June 2017

Miss S Shirley
We had looked forward so much to our holiday at Rowington and we were not disappointed. The house was absolutely lovely and the garden a pleasure to relax in. Will be booking for next year once my son's factory "shut down" has been confirmed. There was nothing at all to complain about - perfect - stayed June 2017

Mrs S Davis
This was a lovely house, great garden, good position, and very good for 4 artists. The owners were excellent at sorting out any problems. Stayed April 2017

Mrs S Eaves
Had a great time with my family here. Beautiful family house. Plenty of room and amenities. Not far from town and the beach. Nice quiet road. Grandchildren loved it. One of the best holiday homes we have ever rented! Loved the table tennis. Thank you for the goody basket it went down very well especially the bunnies and wine. Sadly, we didn't get to use the crabbing gear so we'll have to do that next time! Very sad to be leaving thanks for a lovely stay.- Stayed April 2017.

Mrs S Jordan
Loved our stay in Rowington. Perfect location, beautiful house and lovely weather. Best Dream Cottage we have stayed in, would definitely book to stay again. Easy reach to town centre, harbour, beach, beer, pubs and clubs but also surrounded by some lovely walks down the Rodwell trail and Sandsfoot Castle. Lovely garden, hopefully Mum will let us bring the dog next time. Thank you for the lovely welcome and perfect stay - stayed March 2017

Mrs S Hyde
This was a beautiful well maintained and equipped property to stay in, it was a lovely gesture of the welcome basket and a call from the owners. We had a lovely holiday. Stayed March 2017

Mrs K Pengelly
Beautiful and spacious property. Kind and welcoming owners. Great location. Stayed October 2016

About the Location

Weymouth sits perfectly on the stunningly beautiful Jurassic coastline. Located on the Southern tip of Dorset, this traditional seaside town is one of the most visited and popular areas on the south coast.

With a beautiful, blue flag, sandy beach, sitting against the back drop of an elegant Georgian esplanade, this seaside wonder is a firm favourite for families. As indeed it once was for King George III, who famously used to holiday here.

For a perfectly nostalgic English seaside holiday, you can ask for no more. A golden, sandy beach, named one of the best in Britain, shallow waters which are perfect for paddling, Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides, carousels on the promenade, all accompanied by traditional chippies and quaint tea rooms.

Head down to Weymouth’s Old Harbour, a fine Georgian harbour and one of the prettiest in Europe. Simply soak up the bustling atmosphere of harbour life; sit on the harbour wall with some fish and chips and watch the large catamarans, traditional fishing boats and luxury yachts. Or why not enjoy an adrenaline fuelled ride around the bay with the Weymouth Bay Rib Charters. How about a nice family fishing trip? Many of the fishing boats at the harbour offer fishing trips for absolute beginners and accomplished anglers. Weymouth is fantastic for fishing with plenty of wrecks and reefs to explore.

Try a Jurassic Safari where you can sample Dorset’s secret beauty, off the beaten track. You will be taken along unspoilt country lanes, ancient byways and deep river crossings, whilst catching sight of beautiful wildlife.

Fossil hunting on Chesil beach is a joy with the children. They can run up and down the steep shingle climb, whilst you picnic on the beach.

Sandworld is definitely worth a visit; the sand art won’t fail to impress and there is a fantastic sandpit for the children to play in.

Visit the magnificent Nothe Fort and explore the tunnels and passageways that were once filled with soldiers and canons. See where all the gun powder was stored and walk up to the top level where the canons were fired at the approaching enemy.

If a leisurely stroll through beautiful gardens is more your thing, why not try the award winning Greenhill Gardens, which sit right on the seafront. Bennetts Water Gardens is also a lovely choice, replete with a vast array of water lilies and a Claude Monet style Japanese bridge. A very romantic setting for a picnic!

For a fun packed day out with the kids, head to the Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower, an underground sea world with attractions, rides and over 1,000 incredible creatures. Venture up in a viewing capsule on the The Jurassic Skyline for an incredible panoramic view across the Jurassic Coastline and Dorset countryside.

Children will love Fantasy Island. There are lots of rides, many traditional ones ideal for younger children, tea pots and flying elephants to name but a few! Penny arcades, slot machines and a fab coffee bar.

Weymouth is a fantastic town with plenty to do for everyone!
