The property

The Old Malthouse is situated near the heart of Weymouth's town centre, located in a quiet lane, moments from the Old Harbour, and close to the popular beach.

The apartment takes its name from the original use of the building as part of a malt warehouse and still retains many of the characteristics of the building such as solid stone walls which give the building a feeling of sturdiness. The entrance to the Old Malthouse is in a side turning close to the town centre.

The property accommodates up to four guests in two bedrooms so is perfect for a small family or couples. Step into the hallway with stairs rising to the apartment’s first floor where you will find a spacious social area with two comfy sofas that benefits from three large windows and the rest of the apartment has a modern nautical feel owing to the subtle decoration in shades of blue and cream.

Enter through the arc of the sitting area and you will find a well-equipped kitchen with dining table for four people.

Browse through the rooms with splendid paintings of wildlife and some nice beach-themed decorations whilst listening to the radio. Only a few minutes’ walk away is the long award-winning beach spanning around 3 miles with fine sand at one end and pebbles at another.

Stay all day bathing in the sun, or venture along the promenade starting with a visit to Jurassic Skyline offering amazing 360° panoramic views of Weymouth Bay, Isle of Portland and Jurassic coast.

Along the promenade you will find a lot of amusements for children and adults alike.

Make sure to try out some delicious Dorset’s ice-cream.

Whilst the beach and harbour are a short stroll away, venturing further there are many attractions worth visiting such as the highly regarded Monkey World, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Portland Bill Lighthouse.

This property is excellently positioned to be in walking distance of most of Weymouth's attractions and restaurants and as such is the perfect property to stay in for a while.

Festivals will cause some inconvenience due to some road closures and parking restrictions. Should you require any further assistance or clarification on this please do not hesitate to contact us.
