Reviews of Covecastle Cottage
We loved staying at Covecastle Cottage. A really quiet residential place, near the coast path and at 15 minutes walking from the old harbour. The main bedroom is very big and comfortable. And the other bedroom is perfect for 2 people with a beautiful view on green trees and gardens. Both rooms served by this huge bathroom. Lovely kitchen, living room and dining room and another bathroom with shower. The back garden is perfect to chill out in the afternoon when the sun comes in. Every space is bigger than what appears on the website (which is a nice surprise) We would really like to go back there one day - stayed August 2017Mrs F Laidlaw

Just a ten minute walk away from the small sandy beach at Sandsfoot near the sailing club, Covecastle Cottage is an attractive Edwardian terraced property. It offers spacious accommodation in tastefully finished rooms with contemporary furnishings. Located in a quiet residential area the property is within a 20 minute walk of Brewers Quay and the pretty Old Harbour in Weymouth which has a good variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs giving an alfresco feel to the area. Walking from Covecastle Cottage, Sandsfoot beach, a secluded beach favoured by locals, is a few minutes away and nearby is Sandsfoot Castle and gardens with its fantastic outlook to the horizon, enjoy an ice cream from the little kiosk whilst admiring the view. The Rodwell trail is popular for a gentle stroll or cycle and follows the old railway line from Weymouth to Portland and Chesil Beach, a stop at Ferrybridge for the acclaimed Crab House Cafe is a popular option. Newton's cove is another local beach and walk, with stunning views of Portland Harbour and the Bay. After an enjoyable day out you may wish to savour a refreshing drink in the pretty decked garden.
