Autumn half-term is the time put on your thinking caps and prepare the best and spookiest costumes for Halloween. There’s so much to do and explore this half-term in Dorset, that we thought we’d share with you a few suggestions.

October Half-Term @ Corfe Castle
20th – 28th October, Corfe Castle
Explore the castle grounds and take a quest to find all missing pumpkins. Rescue the knights and help them to escape down the zip wire from the Castle Keep. Witness the medieval Trebuchet missile launch and see how far it will go from Corfe Castle.
Adventure Wonderland: Home of Halloween
20th – 28th October, Christchurch, Bournemouth
Adventure Wonderland is the Home of Halloween with an indoor play centre, maze and theatre transformed into a world of spooks, skeletons and fang-tastic adventures… Meet the Gruffalo and join the Night Time Monster Bash on the 26th and 27th October.
Celebrating Autumn Half-Term at Kingston Lacy
20th – 28th October, Kingston Lacy, Wimborne
Celebrate the harvest, autumn produce and all the beautiful autumn colour with a series of hands on activities at Kingston Lacy, Wimborne. Meet the beekeepers, explore a family nature trail and learn new things in various workshops. See full programme on the National Trust website.
Fang-Tastic Halloween Half Term: Farmer Palmers
22nd – 26th October, Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park, Poole
Fun for families with little ones. The team at the Farmer Palmer’s will have some ghoulish and fang-tastic entertainment prepared for you as well as special daily programme. Put on your fancy dress and costume, and have a wonderful Halloween celebration with all family.
23rd – 26th October, Lulworth Castle & Park
Prepare for some spooktacular fun with lots of themed activities to enjoy with your family and friends. Meet Merlin the Magician, play in the leaf pile, hunt the bats or make a spooky mask!
Creatures of the Night
20th – 28th October, Knoll Beach Studland

Monkey World’s Spooktacular Day Out
31st October, Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre, near Wareham
Free entry for children showing off their best Halloween themed costumes to win some prizes.
