Reviews of Old School

We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the Old School, we found it spacious, clean and well equipped. It was central to all the places we wished to visit in the week we stayed there. The directions to the cottage were clear and very easy to follow. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen very well set out. The only down side was the back garden which was particularly non existent but this should not put you off. I would definitely stay here again and would fully recommend this cottage as a great place to stay - stayed June 2017 The only down side was the back garden which was particularly non existent but this should not put you off. This property exudes charm with many original features still in place from the exterior bell tower and clock to the interior exposed arched timberwork, thick solid walls, leaded light windows and decorative stonework. Weymouth beach, voted best beach in the United Kingdom is just 7 miles away.  Other local beaches in the area include Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, both around 10 miles away.  Poole is around a 30 minutes drive. Walking is a delight and the area has comprehensive footpaths and bridleways over the surrounding countryside and along the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline.  Old School is the perfect choice for a holiday discovering the best of Dorset. A double height entrance area downstairs and galleried hall upstairs are the perfect places for reading as they are light and spacious.
