Farrier's Lodge, previously the village blacksmith's cottage with the workshop next door, is a charming thatched, cosy retreat located just a stone's throw from the village square which is the heart of Corfe Castle, a charming traditional Dorset village.Recently updated this stylish cottage is decorated and furnished with a contemporary palette of calming grey and navy. Farrier's Lodge is the ideal base to explore the Purbecks. A walker's delight with an abundance of walks right on its doorstep.The iconic medieval Corfe Castle ruins and the steam railway are just a short walk away. A short drive away is Studland Bay, a glorious slice of the Purbeck coastline with a 3 mile stretch of golden sandy beach.Just a few miles away is the popular resort of Swanage with its array of shops and award winning golden sanded beach. Swanage boasts a variety of cuisines but do try a Dorset cream tea and other local produce, especially freshly caught fish.
