Lovely setting and very relaxing, clean and a very spacious cottage. will look to go back in the future. Stayed June 2017

Fantastic cottage in wonderful location. Cottage has everything you need and is a couple of minutes walk from Corfe Castle, steam train station and some good pubs and restaurants (especially The Castle Inn). Perfect base from which to explore Purbeck. Stayed April 2017

Mrs C Lloyd
A lovely cottage and a very beautiful village to be based in - perfect for exploring the lovely Isle of Purbeck and the Dorset Jurassic Coast. A very comfortable cottage - excellent bedrooms and very comfortable beds and a very good sitting room and well-equipped kitchen. Despite the busy road outside, the cottage is very quiet - excellent triple glazing and as our bedroom was at the back of the house by the garden, we didn't hear a sound. Our daughter on the first floor bedroom also slept really well and was not disturbed by traffic - stayed October 2016

About the Location

The village of Corfe is one of Dorset’s most delightful treasures. Overlooked by the romantic ruins of Corfe Castle, the castle and dwellings in the village are all built from the same Purbeck stone, including the wonderful post office, the Corfe Castle Tea Rooms and the ice cream parlour, all of which exude delightful nostalgia.

Corfe village boasts some particularly gorgeous pubs that are an absolute must to visit. The Greyhound pub has some popular events peppered throughout the year, such as The Ale and Cider Festival in August, The Crab and Lobster Festival in September, The Sausage and Cider Festival in October, as well as live music pretty much every week. Another great pub, The Castle Inn, was mentioned by Thomas Hardy in the book Hand of Ethelberta.
