Reviews of Rodwell Halt
Very nice property to stay at. Plenty of space for the five of us. Plenty in the area to do and visit and easy to get out to these places from the property. Plenty of things provided at the property for you to use, WiFi, tv, freesat, DVD, books, games, outdoor seating, plenty of things in kitchen (including things you would normally not find). Not to mention the bucket and spades, crabing buckets and lines, beach shelters (3!), wind break and for the more adventures a one adult and one child blow up boat with oars (Just being a pump) - Stayed June 2016Mr J March

Rodwell Halt is a comfortably furnished holiday cottage with a contemporary kitchen and bathroom and large master bedroom. Just a short walk away is Sandsfoot beach (near the sailing club) with rock pools to explore at low tide; a quieter option than the main Weymouth beach. Nearby is The Rodwell Trail a walk which takes you towards the national sailing academy on Portland in one direction or the town centre in the other. A 15 minute walk takes you to the picturesque old harbour which has a wide choice of restaurants and pubs. Another five minute's walk along the harbourside, over the town bridge and you will arrive at the town centre. Weymouth beach is long and sandy with shallow waters which entice bathers. Traditional beach attractions such as donkey rides, Punch and Judy and trampolines help enhance the beach experience. With many activities possible in Weymouth from a boat trip around the coast, visiting the Nothe Fort or a day at the Sealife Centre it is possible to have fun filled days throughout your holiday. With so many options available in Weymouth you may find your car stays parked for the duration; but if you fancy exploring our lovely Dorset County you may enjoy driving the spectacular coast road with stunning views, stopping off en route at charming villages along the way.
