Very clean & tidy property with many home comforts and those little extras. Owners clearly continue make improvements & take on board feedback which is pleasing to note. Stayed March 2018

Mr H Tunnicliffe
This is the third property that we have stayed in, in Belmont Street and, probably, the best. Generally excellent in all respects, highly recommended, will certainly use again - stayed December 2017.

Mr S Lockwood
A very enjoyable stay at Cove Cottage, the owners have made this a very comfortable cottage to stay in, the location is excellent for visiting the harbour area.

Ms S Greenwood
This is my second stay at Cove Walk Cottage. Lovely cottage and in an excellent location. I would certainly recommend this - stayed May 2017

Mr G Lewis
Cottage was in a perfect position close to the Harbour yet far enough away to be very private and peaceful. Very clean and nicely equipped, we had a couple of very minor issues during our stay and the owners rectified them immediately. Lovely cottage, would definitely consider booking again should we come back to this area. Stayed May 2017

Mr H Tunnicliffe
We have been to this cottage many times and it is always well presented and well equipped. The owners are extremely helpful. Stayed April 2017

Mrs S Ward
This is a lovely cottage in a good location. We found it really clean and well equipped. We were very pleased to see the owners hadn't changed too much as we hadn't stayed since it had changed hands. Some nice improvements though so we will hopefully be back again next year! Stayed February 2017

Mr C Jones
3rd time staying in the cottage, we met a couple who'd stayed 7 or 8 times but we'd beat them to it! Superb cottage everything you want and we've stayed @ over 50. Stayed February 2017

Mrs J Baldwin
Had a lovely second stay in this cosy cottage this year. Had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable, close to everything. Our dog loves his second home! We have already booked for next year, and look forward to another enjoyable stay - stayed October 2016

Mrs S Herridge
It is a very quaint, lovely cottage but it's the first one we have picked that didn't have a view of the sea/harbour and we really missed that. You can stay at the cottage with a dog/dogs and I think it must be perfect for people with dogs. The owner rang us the day after we arrived to check everything was alright which we thought was a really lovely touch. The toilet seat was really loose, we rang the office about it when we arrived and it was replaced the following day which was excellent service. Stayed September 2016

Mrs B Jones
Fantastic Cottage everything was way above normal standards fantastic location, stayed in cove cottage last year 6 doors away and the difference was immeasurable on every level. Have already pre booked for two weeks next year! - stayed July 2016

About the Location

Weymouth sits perfectly on the stunningly beautiful Jurassic coastline. Located on the Southern tip of Dorset, this traditional seaside town is one of the most visited and popular areas on the south coast.

With a beautiful, blue flag, sandy beach, sitting against the back drop of an elegant Georgian esplanade, this seaside wonder is a firm favourite for families. As indeed it once was for King George III, who famously used to holiday here.

For a perfectly nostalgic English seaside holiday, you can ask for no more. A golden, sandy beach, named one of the best in Britain, shallow waters which are perfect for paddling, Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides, carousels on the promenade, all accompanied by traditional chippies and quaint tea rooms.

Head down to Weymouth’s Old Harbour, a fine Georgian harbour and one of the prettiest in Europe. Simply soak up the bustling atmosphere of harbour life; sit on the harbour wall with some fish and chips and watch the large catamarans, traditional fishing boats and luxury yachts. Or why not enjoy an adrenaline fuelled ride around the bay with the Weymouth Bay Rib Charters. How about a nice family fishing trip? Many of the fishing boats at the harbour offer fishing trips for absolute beginners and accomplished anglers. Weymouth is fantastic for fishing with plenty of wrecks and reefs to explore.

Try a Jurassic Safari where you can sample Dorset’s secret beauty, off the beaten track. You will be taken along unspoilt country lanes, ancient byways and deep river crossings, whilst catching sight of beautiful wildlife.

Fossil hunting on Chesil beach is a joy with the children. They can run up and down the steep shingle climb, whilst you picnic on the beach.

Sandworld is definitely worth a visit; the sand art won’t fail to impress and there is a fantastic sandpit for the children to play in.

Visit the magnificent Nothe Fort and explore the tunnels and passageways that were once filled with soldiers and canons. See where all the gun powder was stored and walk up to the top level where the canons were fired at the approaching enemy.

If a leisurely stroll through beautiful gardens is more your thing, why not try the award winning Greenhill Gardens, which sit right on the seafront. Bennetts Water Gardens is also a lovely choice, replete with a vast array of water lilies and a Claude Monet style Japanese bridge. A very romantic setting for a picnic!

For a fun packed day out with the kids, head to the Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower, an underground sea world with attractions, rides and over 1,000 incredible creatures. Venture up in a viewing capsule on the The Jurassic Skyline for an incredible panoramic view across the Jurassic Coastline and Dorset countryside.

Children will love Fantasy Island. There are lots of rides, many traditional ones ideal for younger children, tea pots and flying elephants to name but a few! Penny arcades, slot machines and a fab coffee bar.

Weymouth is a fantastic town with plenty to do for everyone!
