The property

9 Driftwood is a lovely a two-bedroom, first-floor apartment in West Bay, Dorset.

An ideal location for couples or families of four looking for a coastal adventure, with access to a wealth of beautiful beaches and the famous Jurassic Coast.

Make yourself at home in the bright and airy open-plan living area, and prepare wonderful meals in the well-equipped kitchen, which can afterwards be enjoyed at the dining table over a bottle of wine.

After dinner, snuggle up on the sofas with your loved ones and choose a much-loved film from the TV.

When sleep calls, retire to one of two well-presented bedrooms, a king size with en-suite shower room, and a twin, both with plenty of storage for your belongings.

In the morning, prepare for the day in style with a soak in the bath, or with a hot refreshing shower.

Explore the area around you, where you can eat fresh seafood from the harbourside kiosks, enjoy meals out at the many restaurants, sunbathe on West Bay Beach's golden beach, rent a boat and sail around the picturesque harbour, or hike along the scenic South West Coast Path, where you will find sea fishing, golfing and fossil hunting.

Drive across to Bridport, where you can explore the town's history at Bridport Museum, visit the Bridport Vintage Market, the twice weekly street market, or indulge yourself with the local cuisine at one of the town's numerous bars and restaurants.

Try the tour at the Palmers Brewery or a vineyard tour at Furleigh Estate just north of the town.

In Bovington, you can explore the Tank Museum and Monkey World, a rescue centre for apes, or you can stop at Cloud Hill, a National Trust site.

For those who want to venture out a bit further, Lyme Regis offers the opportunity to see such attractions as The Fossil Beach, The Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium, and The Lyme Regis Museum.

West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway To The Dorset Jurassic Coast” and popularised by the TV series Broadchurch, lies close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coastal Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, golf, fossil hunting, boating. Visits the homes on Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence, The Tank Museum at Bovington or the Naval Air Museum at Yeovil. Only 1.5 miles away is the vibrant market town of Bridport, featured in the TV series, River Cottage. The area holds plenty of attractions to suit the whole family!
