    “Overall we enjoyed our stay.”

The location was great and the scenery was beautiful on Portland The property suited our needs, the beds were comfortable, kitchen was spacious and fairly well equipped and we had no problem with parking as there were 2 spaces which were always available. Although this is a mid-terrace property, we did not hear any sounds from either neighbour. The TV was large the tv manual was available and so we did not have a problem using it and we took our chromecast along which was useful. ...

The only negative was that the cleaning was not up to standard. We found crumbs on the kitchen floor by the bin, bathroom towel radiators were not cleaned, and there was dust in places. This could and should be easily rectified for a better experience.

The property

Quarry Trails is an exceptionally bright and spacious modern terraced house, with all the facilities you need for a relaxing and comfortable self-catering holiday in Dorset.

The exceptionally spacious modern house offers a large sitting dining room with room for all the family to relax together.

The kitchen is well equipped with all your need to cater for all your dinners, and if when you fancy a night off there are many nearby places where you can sample delicious local food.

Boasting beautiful sea views from the master bedroom and only a short walk from the rugged coastal path and quarry's walks of Portland, Dorset, it has a lot to offer from its location.

Just a short 5-minute walk from the front door you will find a lovely cafe offering local food and drinks, the Portland Museum a bus stop if you'd like to visit further afield.

A more energetic walk of about 30 minutes will see you at Portland Bill Lighthouse, famous for being the most southern spot in Dorset and its dramatic cliffs and sea.

There are several great places to eat here including afternoon tea and local seafood catch lunches and dinner.

Portland stone is famous and most notably for being the stone that St Paul's Cathedral is constructed from.

The Quarries are no longer active in the traditional sense but there are many walks and Tout Quarry offers the added surprise of sculptures and etchings are you wander around the rugged scenes.

Portland is also renowned for its rare and varied wild life and birds as well as multiple water sports, so there is much to be found on the doorstep, but if you would like to explore more of the Jurassic Coastline, Weymouth is a short 10 -15 minute drive away with its Georgian seafront, award winning beach, and high street shops.

This property would suit a family or a small group of friends who want to explore Portland.
