    “What a superb property.”

Apart from the amazing location we really appreciated the the cleanliness; level of equipment and the warmth. (It was a freezing, but gloriously dry & sunny week) There is no back door access to the car but once you know how to find the car parking space, its fine providing guests are reasonably mobile and likely safer than using the steps which look sooooo steep) Loved our stay. Thank you

The property

Tradewinds is a first-floor apartment located within a period Grade II listed building in arguably one of the best locations in Weymouth, Dorset. It has been finished to a high standard and is a comfortable holiday base for couples or families looking for a holiday home with beautiful views and close to the town centre. The Georgian bay window in the living room allows panoramic views with bustling daytime harbour life immediately on your doorstep; yet in the evening the location is on the quieter side of the town and you can enjoy a walk along the harbour with its lights lit up. Light and airy rooms that allow a lot of sunshine in during the day, boast comfortable beds and sofas for you to relax and feel as if you were home.

Browse through the artwork on the walls showcasing beautiful locations of UK. Popular Brewers Quay with its handful of pubs and restaurants giving an alfresco feel is only a couple of minutes’ walk away from the apartment.

A five-minute stroll along the harbour and over the town bridge is the town centre and the main beach is just a short amble further through the town.

Weymouth’s beach is an award-winning sandy beach stretching three miles with spectacular, stretching across the horizon coastline views.

Lay on the beach and soak up the sun, take your children to the Pavilion or Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides or just have a wander around the town. Dorset countryside and coast are dotted with charming little villages such as Burton Bradstock and West Bexington to the West and Sutton Poyntz, Ringstead, Chaldon Herring to the East with thatched cottages in beautiful winding lanes.

The Jurassic coastline has many attractions that would make a wonderful day out – Durdle Door and Lulworth cove with Oswald’s and Man O’ War bays nearby, perfect for bathing as they are not as crowded. A short drive to the West will take you to the fossil hunters paradise Lyme Regis, Charmouth and West Bay with its lovely harbour and gorgeous golden cliffs. Tradewinds is a lovely getaway for couples or small families looking for a quiet holiday home but still close to the busy town centre and beach.

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
