The property

Louisa Cottage is a spacious period cottage adjacent to Brewers Quay; one of the most picturesque and popular areas in Weymouth which plays host to several festivals throughout the year.

A few steps from the front door is the Old Harbour where you can try your hand at teasing a crab line with children.

In summer months you can barely see a free spot along the harbour to do so!

Watch the Town Bridge going up every two hours (you can check the times on the bridge itself) and admire this unusual mechanism allowing boats and yachts in and out the Marina. Bright and lovely rooms with harbour views, well-equipped kitchen, sitting room with dining table for you to enjoy family breakfast - all together make a lovely holiday home in Weymouth for you to enjoy. There is an array of restaurants, coffee houses and pubs, perfect for trying our freshly caught sea food.

Trying one of the traditional fish ad chips is a must too.

Walk along the Harbour and you will reach beautiful Nothe Fort and gardens where you can have a picnic.

The town centre with its shops and cinema is a leisurely stroll away, as is the long and sandy award-winning main beach with its shallow bathing waters.

Venture further along the promenade, on your left you will see RSPB Lodmoor which makes a good day out spotting wildlife.

Further you will reach Preston, a beautiful suburb of Weymouth with popular with water sports enthusiasts Bowleaze cove and sandy beach.

If you walk towards West, you will reach the National Sailing Academy as well very popular with sports enthusiasts.

Either path you take, you can be sure beautiful scenery will be leading the way. Just short drive away from Weymouth is market town of Bridport and county town of Dorchester with array of shops, beautiful narrow streets and museums.

Not too far from Bridport is West Bay with gorgeous cliffs and beach.

If you venture further, you will reach two most popular locations for fossil hunting – Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Louisa Cottage is a lovely and spacious cottage close to local amenities and the town centre for family to enjoy.

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!

Note: Nearest pay and display parking is at the Nothe car park DT4 8UD a few minutes walk.
