“A really nice holiday cottage and a great stay in Weymouth.”
It would be good to be more explicit in the details about the steepness and narrowness of the stairs leading to the 1st and 2nd floors - anyone with mobility issues would find these a challenge.
The cottage was very clean and well presented but a couple of things could have been improved - the inside lid of the kitchen bin had obviously not been wiped around and was pretty 'yukky' and a damp mop head had been left in the downstairs toilet.
There is no hanging space / wardrobe in the double room on the 3rd floor and limited hanging space in the single room (as the hoover, ironing board etc are in the cupboard). More coathangers in the front main bedroom would be useful. There is plenty of drawer space though.
The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to cook for a couple of nights - there is limited worktop space though and really only room for one to be in there.
The bathroom makes the most of the space but the bath and shower are difficult to get into with the non moveable shower screen and limited space between that and the wall - also have to virtually climb into the bath to turn the taps on.
Plenty of good towels to use and bed linen and beds very comfortable.
The colours and decor in each room are great - with a nautical calm theme throughout and a lovely master front room. The living room sofas are very clean and comfortable.
A lovely cottage for a short stay.
