“Absolutely beautiful apartment in a fantastic location!”

We have stayed in various apartments along this side of the harbour but this is our favourite so far. We love the view of the harbour from the bay window and with being above street level. This allows full view of the harbour but with privacy too - perfect. The beds were so comfortable and we all slept really well. Something which my husband and I struggle with at home. We did mean to look at the brand of mattress to get one for home but we forgot. Could you let us know the brand please ...

Could you let us know the brand please? Settee and furnishings also very comfy, along with facilities available throughout the property. Entrance area had been recently painted due to previous feedback and was clean, fresh and welcoming. Only slight negatives, which didn’t detract from our stay at all but might bother other guests: - only one side of the four slice toaster works (the left slots) - kettle desperately needs descaling. I unfortunately had some crunchy limescale in my morning brew. - cups were stained on bottom and I had to soak and scrub them all before we could use them. - cutlery greasy and teaspoons tea stained. Had to wash before use. - bay window draughty in these colder months. Wouldn’t be an issue in summer season though. - temperature of shower very difficult to get right. Only a slight movement of the knob can cause the water to go from scalding to freezing. Maybe a simple guide to use would be handy? - blinds in twin room can only stay in one position as one of the strings missing. Didn’t bother us but would have been nice to have the slats in an open position to allow in light during the day. - perhaps a slightly bigger tv in living room - lower wattage bulbs in wall lights as these were very bright for a relaxed evening time. We used the kitchen lights instead for low lighting.

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
