The flat was very clean the problem was the windows outside they were very dirty and we decided to clean ourselves been to the flat on a number of occasions never had this problem before fantastic view to good to miss

A nice morning walk along the "jurasic" coastline ore evening walk towards the smuggers inn. Lots of places to visite: lulworth cove, portland, weymouth, swanage....... Very friendly neighbours.....

“Super location, well kitted out.”

When I arrived all the mugs were tea stained, some glasses and plates not clean so I put all the mugs, plates, bowls etc and cutlery in the dishwasher and ran a hot quick wash. Mugs all came out clean so not sure if someone not using dishwasher but they definitely needed a clean. Felt the kitchen needed a good clean really, everywhere else was ok. Rinse aid light on, on dishwasher but only a tiny drop left in bottle. Could not find a room thermostat anywhere although this was referred to in the manual. Also, thank goodness someone had hand-written in the manual where the main switch for the electric fire was, otherwise I would have had to ring you. We had a couple of cooler evenings when a short burst of heat was required. I got the hang of everything else by reading the manuals otherwise I would have been lost with the TV and struggled with the hob. Ideal for anyone who likes peace and quiet and walking, and of course swimming when the weather allows, superb beach.

“Apparently the apartment was a converted garage and subsequently the ceilings are rather low.”

My husband is over six foot tall so at first kept banging his head on the ceiling joists, so anybody over that height must be prepared to duck ! We agreed with a couple of previous guests from the visitors book, that it would be better if curtains were hung in the bedrooms as well as vertical blinds because it was far too light in the early mornings (at this time of year - June) and awoke us far too soon.

“Wonderful accommodation and facilities only drawback would be the fact that there are no curtains in the bedrooms.”

Not needed elsewhere as the blinds are sufficient but we had glorious moonlit nights during our holiday shining through the blinds so a little difficult to get off to sleep! Needed curtains to darken the rooms.

The property

The Creek, is a bright, modern holiday apartment on the outskirts of Ringstead on the south coast of Dorset.

This ground floor apartment boasts wonderful views with direct access to Ringstead beach just a hop and skip across the lawn.

The tastefully decorated sitting room / dining area is perfect for friends or families to get together and relax around the electric fire after a long day’s adventure.

Rustle up a feast in the well-equipped, stylishly decorated kitchen whilst looking out at the well-maintained garden.

The bedrooms are decorated in the coastal theme which runs throughout the property and you will find a double bedroom, a twin room with sea views and a single bed. Outside is a large shared garden and patio area which grants direct access to the beautiful Ringstead beach. Ringstead Bay is famous for its sunrises and sunsets and being partially owned by the National Trust much of the area is outstandingly beautiful, unspoilt and highly sought after.

The coastal path which stretches from Weymouth to Lulworth offers breath-taking views as you walk.

A short walk from The Creek will also take you to a picnic area and a seasonal shop where you are able to purchase your daily paper, essential provisions and partake in a nice cup of tea accompanied by freshly caught seafood sandwiches.

A relatively short drive to the nearby resort town of Weymouth will provide you with high street shops and entertainment if required, whilst a short drive in the opposite direction takes you to the world famous Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.

About the location

RINGSTEAD

Ringstead Bay is an unspoilt pebble beach on the Jurassic coastline surrounded by striking cliffs and farmland. The original village mentioned in the doomsday book no longer exists, but there is now a small vibrant community nestled at the back of the bay in a variety of unique houses. You can enjoy walking the South West Coast path or meander through the woodland walks, whatever your preference this is a gorgeous place to be outside. When you are ready to explore further afield, you will find Lulworth Cove and Durdle door a short 11 miles away and Weymouth with it’s beautiful beach and plentiful restaurants and cafes 7 miles to the west. The Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World Rescue, and Tyneham Village all offer varied and interesting days out just a short drive from Ringstead, presuming you can tear yourselves away from the unspoilt beach.
