“The Coachman's House was a first class holiday cottage, everything about it was excellent, we couldn't find fault on any aspect, it was clean, spacious and had an abundance of utensils and appliances even down to a bag of ice cubes in the freezer for an end of the day G&T!”

! All round an absolutely outstanding holiday. Stayed May 2018

    - Ms Jill Allen,

The property

This delightful cottage is a real hidden gem for a small family or couples, located around half a mile from Weymouth's glorious sandy beach.

Steeped in history, it was once as a toll collection point, still retaining lots of beautiful original features blended elegantly with modern comforts.

With a private walled garden that catches the sun, a modern kitchen, spacious dining room, and cosy garden facing lounge, this cottage is sure to steal your heart.

It’s brilliant for dog lovers as you can bring up to three dogs to the house.

RSPB Radipole lake is a short walk away, so you could walk your pets in the morning and in the evening not going too far away from the property and still getting a glimpse of nature inside of the town. Only a brisk ten-minute walk to the sea front and town, it's ideally placed for enjoying Weymouth's Georgian seafront, restaurants, cafes and bars.

If you feel like exploring further afield, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are a short 20-minute journey, and you are ideally located for access to Monkey world and The Tank museum.

Venture deeper to the countryside and you will find a county town of Dorchester with beautiful iron-age Maiden castle – from which views to all sides are splendid.

Sheep are freely roaming there, so make sure to keep your dogs on a lead. After an exciting day out retreat to The Coachman's House and relax in this quiet historical oasis.
