“The location of the cottage is great.”

The space inside and layout is comfortable for a family and was in the past likely lovely, but the cottage needs a lot of maitenance. The garden as well. The space inside and layout is comfortable for a family and was in the past likely lovely, but the cottage needs a lot of maitenance. The garden as well. It was also not very clean despite the covid measures and lights, washing machine and various features did not work - I had to have my father-in-law fix the washer so we could use it. Also a key selling feature was the pub being next door, but I was not told it was still shut since covid and it would have been good to have at least an email with the update. Finally, the booking process was challenging. In each of my other experiences the property manager promptly responds. For months I have had not one response to any of my simple requests. I know you are busy, but it’s critical to have some details before bringing your family on holiday for a week. I did ring thru and after 3 tries received a few answers. In short, the customer service and lack of a working clean cottage means I will not likely rent or recommend Sykes in future.
