    Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for the stay. Plenty of storage in the bedrooms and comfortable beds. Set in a quiet location with lovely views of the local countryside.

The property

Bride Valley View, formally known as the Lillians, is a charming three-bedroom semi-detached cottage set in a peaceful rural village of Puncknowle overlooking the rolling fields of Bride Valley in Dorset.

With a pretty cottage garden leading via a gate to a children's play park, Bride Valley View is an ideal holiday home for a family or couples. The cottage can accommodate up to five guests in three bedrooms which are all on the first floor.

All rooms are finished with bright pastel colours palette. The sitting room is on the ground floor with level entry form the hallway where you can relax by the open fire and read a magazine or a book.

Grab a book from the shelf and step into the different world before going to sleep.

Enjoy your breakfast with lovely views to the garden, if the sun is shining, step outside and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee outdoors.

It is also within easy striking distance of the coast making this a popular location for sea and countryside lovers.

In addition to the beautiful coastal and rural walks on your doorstep, the village itself is blessed with a very good pub, The Crown Inn which also boasts a community shop.

There are number of villages nearby worth exploring; Abbotsbury with its sub-tropical gardens and a unique Swannery, West Bexington which fronts the famous Chesil beach and Burton Bradstock, a picture postcard village.

Venturing out further afield, you can visit the nearby market town of Bridport to the West.

Weymouth with its Georgian seafront, old harbour and sandy beach is a lazy drive along the coast road through picture postcard villages and breath-taking scenery to the East. Bride Valley View is a perfect cottage for those looking for a tranquillity and relaxing holidays in a countryside a short drive away from the beach and bigger towns.

About the location


Puncknowle is a charming village of stone cottages surrounded by the beautiful bride valley on one side and a down land ridge that shelters the village from the sea on the other. Pronounced ‘Punnle’ this is a great location for exploring the Jurassic Coast and surrounding countryside. Just 1.5 mile from the famous Chesil Beach, you can enjoy beach walks or coast road drives with spectacular views. The Market town of Bridport is only 5 miles away where you can find all the amenities you need including many independent cafes and restaurants. Abbotsbury is under 5 miles away and has much to offer, from Tropical gardens to the Swannery bird reserve. If that wasn’t enough the village is chocolate box pretty and filled with local artists and craftsmen who have their own shops to explore. St Catherine’s chapel sits above the village and can be see for miles along the coast line, enjoy the walk from the village to the Chapel and enjoy the reciprocal views
