In easy reach of the excitement of the coast, Dorset's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast, there is no better base from which to discover Dorset.

The property boasts plenty of social space for you and your loved ones to unwind; seek a quiet moment to yourself in the snug with a good book in hand, the electric fire bringing a homely feel to the room, or gather all together in the living/dining room, also home to a warming electric fire, where you can choose to unwind in front of the television on the plush seating arrangement or sit at the table and plan your holiday days ahead.

Move through into the kitchen to find even more dining seating, making a lovely spot to sit and keep the chef of the group company as they get to work with the good range of appliances on offer, with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and even a washer/dryer, it has all you need and more for a week-long stay.

At the end of each day, relax beneath the crisp linens of one of the four inviting bedrooms, taking your pick from a double on the ground floor served by a cloakroom, making the perfect spot for those with limited mobility, while up on the first floor you can find a king-size with an en-suite bathroom, two twin rooms, one with an en-suite shower room, all accompanied by the gleaming family bathroom, offering plenty of space for everyone to prepare for their day in style.

Spend your mornings out in the enclosed garden, with plenty of space for the little ones and your canine companions to play, before heading out on your day of exploration.

There are plenty of scenic walking routes within the local area, offering views over the famous White Horse carved into the hillside, with more rewarding views of seascapes and opportunities for wildlife watching being readily available along the South West Coast Path.

For a ramble like no other, be sure to venture along the Jurassic Coast, home to rich history and hidden wonders, it's sure to offer an unforgettable experience for all, with the chance to even find your own fossil to take back home too!

Enjoy a mosey through the village to find a charming duck pond making a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic, while a trip to Preston offers all the essential amenities of shops and eateries for your self-catered stay, The Springhead being a particularly popular local pub, for a mouth-watering meal, where your four-legged friends will be welcome too.

Venture to the world UNESCO heritage sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door for the perfect photo opportunities, or spend a traditional day by the seaside in Weymouth, with plenty of attractions to keep all ages entertained such as an award-winning beautiful beach, amusement arcades and of course some delicious fish and chip shops.

Visit historic Dorchester, with its Roman roads, interesting museums and remains of its ancient fortress, Maiden Castle. Take a journey along the scenic coastal roads and call in at Abbotsburys, swannery and subtropical gardens, or discover Thomas Hardy's 'Casterbridge', just 7 miles away.
