“We all had a terrific 7 nights at Hillside.”

It is a beautiful house and so comfortable - felt like a home from home. We used Hillside as a base for visiting attractions in and around the area. The hot tub was a pleasant relaxation on our return from a day out. Superb and FAB-U-LOUS place for a holiday. Just one complaint, well not really a complaint more a suggestion, could have done with a BBQ to make it 11 out of 10!!!

“A little disappointed that the kettle was not an electric kettle.”

There were 8 of us so took forever to have a cuppa. The hot tub was disappointing too. Didn’t get to right temperature until later on the second day and very chalky/gritty in the water on the seating parts which left powder on swimming trunks/costumes. No mirror in ground floor bedroom.

Thanks for staying with us, and for your feedback. We're working to correct these things. We've bought an electric kettle for guests to use in addition to the hob one. With the hot tub, we're in a hard water area and so it's very tricky keeping the calcium carbonate out. We're continuing to adapt things to remedy this. Property Owner

“Absolutely amazing experience the property was exactly if not better than described, very very clean and decorated and accessorised to a very high standard.”

The owner popped by to put the bins out and was very pleasant. The views were fantastic from the hot tub ( easily managed) and the property. We would definitely stay here again .

“Absolutely beautiful property.”

We felt at home the minute we arrived. We also got to meet the owner and have a chat, what a lovely guy. Everything was perfect from start to finish and we would definitely return. If I had to raise anything (and it really isn't anything to complain about) it would be to have a hairdryer in at least one of the rooms. My hair was such a mess ;). Thank you for making our trip away feel like home from home.

“Hillside is a beautiful new property in an idyllic setting.”

We were lucky to have a week there during a heatwave and the fans in each bedroom were fantastic. We bumped into the owners, who were helpful and friendly. The hot tub is amazing and has fantastic views. Hillside is a 5 minute or so drive from Blandford Forum with supermarkets so it was really easy for us to cater for a party of 8. The amount of bathrooms was perfect for our party. The kitchen is spotless and has everything you could think of. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making sure this properly is built to have everything you need and look beautiful at the same time. 10/10, thank you.

Blandford Forum is a market town in Dorset, England, situated by the River Stour. Notable for its Georgian architecture, most of the town was rebuilt in the 18th century after it was destroyed by a fire in 1731. King George II made a donation to rebuild the town centre with designs from local architects John and William Bastard. The Blandford Georgian Fayre is an annual event held in the first week of May and celebrates its Georgian heritage, with presentations, historical re-enactments and music and dancing. One of the town’s biggest events takes place on the late Bank Holiday weekend, the Great Dorset Steam Fair. A largely colourful festival with over 2,000 exhibits and an old time steam funfair. Offering a wide selection of independent store, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, cafés and a Georgian tearoom. So much to visit within this quaint town and makes for a wonderful tourist attraction, whatever the season.
