“A lovely cottage in a fantastic location, with beautiful views of the sea and lovely coastal walk near by.”

Good facilities although, the kettle needed cleaning from lime scale and the washer/dry needs replacing... The front door needs looking at, as have to shut it very hard to close it and pull quite had to open it. The beds and mattresses in both rooms were very comfortable and the sachets of tea, coffee, sugar and milk were a welcome touch. All in all we had a lovely stay at seaview and would definitely book again.

The property

Seaview is one of the holiday homes in the complex located two minutes away from Preston beach in the suburb of Weymouth. It’s a comfortable and well-equipped family home, suitable for couples.

Don’t worry about leaving your pet at home; the property welcomes one well-behaved dog.

The cottage can accommodate up to four guests, with one ground floor, twin bedroom and shower room.

The twin room is limited in size.

There is also a first-floor double bedroom and bathroom. Sociable living area on the ground floor with kitchen, sitting area and dining area are perfect for planning the next day’s adventures. Patio doors lead to the outside sitting area where you can enjoy the views stretching to the wonderful Isle of Portland and have a cold drink.

The island is only a short drive away if you fancy exploring rugged landscape, maybe spot some new birds or just enjoy a nice day out. For those who want to burn some energy, various walks over the cliffs toward Osmington and beyond offering gorgeous views over Jurassic coastline are available.

You can choose to go inland to the Dorset’s beautiful countryside too with rolling hills and pretty villages along the way. The Harvester pub and informal restaurant is nearby the property with decked area overlooking the sea.

The Oasis café with relaxed beach atmosphere with a convenience store are all brisk walk away. You can choose to drive to Weymouth with a car as it’s only two miles away, but a walk along the promenade is highly recommended.

The sea on your left and RSPB Lodmoor on the right with plenty of wildlife will make a journey an enjoyable experience.

You can walk along the sea or choose to walk on the edge of RSPB Lodmoor. Seaview is a lovely base to explore Jurassic coast for families or couples.

About the location

BOWLEAZE

Bowleaze sits behind Bowleaze Cove and right at the end of Weymouth’s long 3-mile beach front perched on the edge of Preston. This small sand and shingle beach is a popular choice for those who like to use Jet Ski’s as it’s one of the few areas on the beach front they can be used freely. This area of Weymouth offers beautiful views back towards Weymouth and Portland whilst only being a short distance from the main beach and town centre. There are many places to eat and you can join the south west coast path towards Osmington Mills, Ringstead and beyond from here. Predominantly a residential area, it’s perfect those who want to escape to the seaside but retain the tranquillity of a residential area.

Note: max 4 people. Note: guests need to bring their own cot linen. Note: between Seaview and the beach is the parking area for the Oasis Cafe and beachside cottages.
