The property

Resting on the peaceful Isle of Portland in Dorset, is this fabulous apartment, Sunrise Hill, boasting a superb balcony and access to the complex's on-site facilities.

Finished with a contemporary décor and sleeping two guests, this lovely dwelling provides a wonderful base from which to explore this delightful area and beyond.

Arriving at the apartment, step straight into the open-plan living space and start preparing a delicious meal for your loved one using the amply-equipped kitchen area.

Dine at the table while you plan your day's events, or perhaps admire the view with a light lunch out on the balcony.

When it is time to relax, sink into the sofa to watch the Smart TV for a couple of hours before heading to bed where the bedroom hosts a plush double and plenty of storage so you can unpack your belongings, along with an en-suite bathroom, giving you the option of a quick rinse off after a day at the beach, or a long soak in the bath to unwind and relax.

Take advantage of the on-site facilities while at the apartment and spend an afternoon burning off any excess energy in the pool and gym.

Castletown is a brilliant location, with your amenities situated close-by where you can grab your essentials from the convenience store, before savouring lunch at the The Boat that Rocks or Cove Inn and basking in the sun on Portland's Chesil Beach.

Despite being an isolated island, Portland boasts a plethora of activities to partake in; visit the nearby Castletown D-Day Centre & Museum to immerse yourself in history, visit the Marina & Boatyard for a day of sailing in the English Channel, and explore the glorious Portland Castle and it's beautiful surrounding gardens.

Head to Fortuneswell to get back to nature at The Verne Local Nature Reserve, go picnicking in the Chiswell Walled Garden or go hiking through the King Barrow Quarry.

Cross Ferry Bridge to visit Weymouth, and be fascinated by the SEA LIFE aquarium, discover the unique sand sculptures in Sandworld or try your hand at go-karting at the Leisureranch, before treating yourself to an ice-cream from one of the many take-away kiosks.

Whatever you choose to do on your holiday, Sunrise Hill is the home away from home allowing you to explore all the wonders of the Jurassic Coast.

Castletown is a small village in Underhill on the Isle of Portland in Dorset. It is located close to Fortuneswell, on the shores of Portland Harbour, and includes a sandy beach, as well as one of Portland's notable highlights; Portland Castle, while the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy is also located nearby. As with the rest of Portland's villages and settlements, Castletown has been designated as a conservation area, as it is a place of special architectural and historic interest. Portland’s vivid coastline boasts numerous scenic walking opportunities and is known as a birdwatcher’s paradise. There are many outdoor pursuits to get involved in such as rock climbing and abseiling as well as an array of watersport activities available. There are pubs and local shops nearby. Alternatively take the short drive to the very tip at Portland Bill with its iconic red and white striped Lighthouse. The nearby family friendly, seaside resort of Weymouth is a 15-minute drive and offers visitors plenty of family friendly attractions. A most attractive and unique holiday destination at any time of the year.

The access to the swimming pool complex is via the key fob and is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday. Please note that the facility could be closed at any time for maintenance. Also, guests will need to ring ahead before needing to use the sauna and steam room to have them switched on. This number will be provided to you prior to your stay.

Please note the TV in the bedroom does not offer the standard TV channels and can only be used as a Smart TV.
