“The beds were comfortable and clean.”

The property was generally in a good condition. The outside areas were lovely and scenic and calm, was pouring so could not use any outside facilities. But the cleaning in some areas were not great. One of the bathrooms on the first floor - the one above the main kitchen was left in a used and disgusting state. The cleaning supplies were not provided - toilet cleaners for the bathrooms. Scrubbers for the kitchen were missing. Table covers were not easy to cleanup. The utensils were a bit old ...

The utensils were a bit old. And no wooden spatulas were provided to use on non-stick items. Glasses for water were not adequate for 15 of us. Extra bin covers were not supplied. Handwashes were not available in all bathrooms. Some basic coffee or tea provisions would also have been good. Just the kitchen area was a bit crammed and expected some more space here! Overall the negatives didn't ruin anything on our stay - but for the price would have expected more on the lines stated above.

The property

Lulworth Lodge, a delightfully roomy holiday property that sleeps up to 15 people and is located in the charming village of East Stoke, is surrounded by beautiful countryside and only a short drive from the market town of Wareham.

Visitors to this rural sanctuary have access to a private decked area with patio furniture as well as three acres of lovely shared lawned grounds where children can play with the football net, basketball hoops, and tennis table while you kick back, unwind, and take in the scenery.

As soon as you enter, your group will have enough room to congregate in the main living/dining room where you may unwind in front of the TV before continuing conversations in the kitchen/living dining area; allow the group's chef to conjure up a nice lunch while you plan your holiday schedule.

The ground floor also has the convenience of a downstairs shower room and a separate kitchen that is well-equipped with everything you need for a self-catering stay.

Discover five spacious, light-filled bedrooms on the first floor, including two family rooms, one with a double bed and two sets of bunk beds and an en-suite shower room, one with a double bed and a single bed, two double bedrooms, and a twin room, all of which are connected to a bathroom and an additional shower room.

If you can tear yourself away, leave your car parked and take use of the public transportation options, such as the Jurassic Coast bus, which makes it simple to get to Poole and Weymouth; alternatively, stroll into Wool's centre, where you'll find three pubs, a butchers and bakery where you can grab a bite to eat!

Embark on a spectacular cliff top hike, visit the lovely beach at Durdle Door and snap a photo of the distinctive rock structure that rises from the water and like a doorway before cooling off with a plunge in the crystal-clear water.

A kayak excursion may be scheduled locally from Lulworth Cove and is a treasured experience as you are shown secluded tiny coves, beaches, and pools that are only reachable by sea.

With its long stretch of golden sands and numerous attractions to keep people of all ages entertained, the classic seaside town of Weymouth is only a short drive away.

You can enjoy an ice cream along the charming Georgian esplanade or tuck into fish and chips on the old harbour while watching the boats sail by.

Lulworth Lodge is a great base from which to explore wonderful Dorset.
