Morning: Chesil Beach<\/h2>\n

Start your day bright and early at the infamous Chesil Beach<\/a>. This 18-mile stretch of shingle beach is easily accessible from many of Dorset\u2019s most popular locations such as Portland, West Bay and many more.<\/p>\n

Along with the breath-taking coastal views, Chesil Beach also offers a number of geographical, geological and scientific points of interest. The salt water Fleet Lagoon is what gives Chesil Beach its distinctive appearance, separating the bank from the mainland and surrounding beach goers in its deep blue waters.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Whether it\u2019s running lengths of the beach, paddling in the shallows or simply spending quality time with their owner, Chesil Beach is certain to be a trip highlight for your dog. In both the warmer and winter months, a trip down to Chesil is the perfect way to work up an appetite before lunch.<\/p>\n

After all, is there a better way to spend your morning than experiencing a cool ocean breeze whilst basking in the South West sunshine?<\/p>\n

Before\/after your meal: The village of Puncknowle<\/h2>\n

The West Fleet of the lagoon is only a short drive to the village of Puncknowle. Dependant on the time, you may choose to explore the village before or after food. The village itself is home to many traditional, thatched cottages as well as points of interest including an old Jacobean manor house and parish church.<\/p>\n

Lunch: The Crown Inn<\/a>, Puncknowle<\/h2>\n

What better respite after a busy morning than at the dog friendly local? This 16th<\/sup> Century traditional Inn serves delicious home-cooked food, real ales, fine wines and plenty of soft drinks too. Welcoming furry friends with open arms (and muddy paws too), the Crown Inn is one of our favourite Dorset dog friendly pubs.<\/p>\n

The pub boasts beautiful architecture, unrivalled ambience and food which caters to light bites or larger meals, meaning that whether your dog likes to keep moving, or could do with some kip, you are more than welcome to stay for as long (or little) as you like.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more, if you\u2019ve got the time in the summer, you can soak up the sunshine in the lovely gardens that overlook the Bride Valley before popping into the small village shop situated within the pub itself.<\/p>\n

Afternoon: Bride Valley<\/h2>\n

The River Bride which runs through West Dorset is the perfect way to spend the afternoon with your canine companion. With green rolling hills for as far as the eye can see, the dramatic landscape is the perfect spot to take those photographs that we know you love taking of your dog. Enjoy the afternoon sunshine in unspoiled nature before returning home or back to your holiday accommodation.<\/p>\n
