You can walk \u2018giants hill\u2019 and see the giant form a new perspective as well as enjoy views of the surrounding Cerne Valley.<\/p>\n<p>The village grew around the large Benedictine Abbey which was founded in 987AD, its remains are still in the grounds. The abbey was a prosperous one, with a tradition of brewing. This tradition is still going strong, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerneabbasbrewery.com\/\">Cerne Abbas Brewery<\/a> brewing up ales using locally grown barley.<\/p>\n<p>Surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty, the village is the perfect location for walkers. With many trails to choose from you will soon find yourself enjoying breath taking views.<\/p>\n<p>As a quintessential Dorset village, Cerne Abbas is chocolate box pretty with a mix of architecture, a babbling brook and slower pace of life.
