The property

Resting in the heart of Weymouth on Brewers Quay Harbour in Dorset is Melanie's Cottage, a delightful mew-style cottage boasting a bright and airy décor and plenty of home comforts.

Ideal for a couple or small family, this stylish abode is conveniently located within walking distance of local amenities and a beautiful sandy beach.

On arrival at the property, cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, home to a electric oven and hob and a handy dishwasher to help with the cleaning up.

From here, gather at the dining table to plan your day's adventures, or perhaps on a warmer day, take advantage of the patio, located to the front of the cottage, and dine alfresco.

When you return from an action-packed day out, sink into the sofa to watch TV with your loved ones.

As the evening grows darker, climb the stairs to the bedrooms for some well-earned rest; the first floor hosts a double with a TV, perfect for a lazy morning in bed, along with a twin room which is suited to both children and adults.

Each room has been delicately decorated with neutral tones and offers plenty of storage for your belongings.

Wake up with a refreshing shower in the sleek shower room, before heading outside to the front of the house, where you will find a small patio area to allow you to soak up the summer sun and plan your day of adventures over a cup of coffee.

The colourful harbourside and marina is just a short walk away; Cross over the hydraulically-operated harbour bridge, which is raised every two hours, 363 days of the year and still one of Weymouth's most iconic features.

Why not take the gentle rowing ferry across to the other side of the harbourside where a short journey will lead to the choice of visiting Weymouth’s famous beautiful beach, and whilst there, take advantage of the well-stocked amenities in and around the main shopping area, including well known high street stores alongside quaint and independent shops.

Also within easy reach are the pretty Nothe Gardens and Newton's Cove, with rock pools, perfect for finding the hidden gems of sea life; find a bench and admire the breath taking sea views over to the Isle of Portland.

Further afield, why not explore the Dorset Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on foot or by bicycle, or venture into the county town of Dorchester to brush up on your local history at the Dorset Museum.

Melanie's Cottage is a beautifully-presented cottage, sure to be a hit with your loved ones at any time of year.

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
