Audrey's Cottage is one of our lovely cottages in Dorset, located in the quiet and picturesque Dorset coastal village of Langton Herring. The village is situated in a unique part of South West Dorset, ideal for many pursuits including walking the South West coastal footpaths or observing the fauna and flora at the nearby Fleet Lagoon (the largest natural inlet of sea water in England) which is a haven for wildlife. At the heart of the village, The Elm Tree Inn provides local ale and food, has a beer garden and is pet friendly. A short drive to the east is the popular resort of Weymouth which has a renowned long and sandy beach, numerous good restaurants and fine shopping facilities. To the west is Abbotsbury, one of the quaintest villages in England and home to the famous Swannery - the only place in the world where you may walk through a colony of nesting mute swans. Further along the dramatic coast road is Burton Bradstock, another beautiful village where many guests enjoy the acclaimed Hive Beach Cafe or gastro pubs. A little further to the west is the historic Georgian market town of Bridport, with a twice weekly street market and home to Britain's oldest family run business, Balson's Butchers established in 1515. Visiting the county town of Dorchester is an ideal day out as it has a great combination of shopping, historical and visitor attractions. Pet friendly cottage Audrey's is great if you would like to take your pet on holiday too as it welcomes two pets and has an enclosed rear garden with patio and lawn, a super spot to while away a lazy summer afternoon. Audrey's Cottage proved to be the perfect holiday bolthole. Bright, spacious and well-furnished, its location was ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside. Nice local pub, excellent walks for the dog, the only thing I would want to change would be to have a shop in the village! We'd definitely book again and heartily recommend it to others

Mrs I Ayres
The cottage was in a lovely quiet setting, with parking outside. Very handy for the local pub, where the food was very good and there was a good choice of beers and ciders. Excellent facilities, a very well equipped kitchen and comfortable accommodation. Lots to see in the area – Stayed July 2017.

Mrs V Sharp
Lovely cottage, photographs on web site do not do it justice as it was much bigger than expected. Very clean and comfortable, one of the best cottages my sisters and I have stayed in. Lovely quiet out of the way village but only a short drive to most local attractions. Would definitely return to this beautiful area to see the things we missed and stay in this lovely cottage again - stayed June 2017

Mr G Stutchbury
A very well equipped high quality cottage in a perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage with added bonus of a pub serving very good within walking distance. The area provided some excellent walks with our dog ,the coastal scenery was breathtaking. We would certainly like to return to the cottage sometime next year. Stayed November 2016

Mr N Baldock
Our stay at Audrey's Cottage was just perfect. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and well maintained. We wanted for nothing. Whoever cleans and preps this property needs congratulating as it was a pleasure to arrive and be greeted with a real" home from home". A few observations that might make others stay as good as ours or even better. There were a couple of mugs in the kitchen that had chips out of the rim and some of the downstairs doors could do with easing as they are difficult to close properly. None of this detracted from our stay. If we stay in the area again we would not hesitate to use you and your properties . We will recommend you to friends and family. Keep up the good work. Many thanks. Stayed September 2016

Miss R Tinham
Beautiful and very well equipped. The LED nightlights at the top and bottom of the stairs, cutlery drawer containing everything you might need and clear information sheets about all appliances are good examples of the large amount of thought that has gone into making this cottage an inviting place to stay. Stayed March 2016
