Way's Forge was a working forge run by five generations of the Way family dating back to the 1830's. The property has now been sympathetically renovated into a comfortable home, whilst still keeping its original character and charm. As with many traditional village smithys Way's Forge is conveniently located on the village high street and is only yards from the excellent Thimble Inn with its lovely streamside garden and delicious food. Situated in the picturesque village of Piddlehinton within the admired Piddle Valley, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The village includes a pretty church and the Millennium Green with children's play area and picnic tables. You can enjoy delightful walks using the wealth of footpaths and bridleways nearby. Cerne Abbas, overseen by the legendary Cerne Giant is a short drive away and the county town of Dorchester is around 5 miles away and has a great combination of shopping, historical and visitor attractions. Take your pick from the beautiful nearby beaches, the long sandy beach, traditional Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides of Weymouth, or the more secluded Ringstead Bay are both around a 20-25 minute drive from Way's Forge. Pretty Lulworth Cove and the geological wonder, Durdle Door, are both under 20 miles from the property, pack a picnic and spend the day exploring these stunning spots on the Jurassic Coast.
