Property Details

Overlond is a large detached house built in the 1970's to a style typical for its time.  Nestling in approximately three quarters of an acre of mature gardens, the driveway to Overlond is flanked by exotic foliage, trees and shrubs.  The views from the property lookout over Osmington, an unspoilt village which features thatched stone cottages and English country gardens.  John Constable the famous artist gained inspiration for many of his paintings when he spent his honeymoon in 1816 in the village and painted Weymouth bay.  The country walks from the property are exceptional and the nearby seaward hamlet at Osmington Mills offers the contrast of exhilarating cliff walks and picturesque coves to explore.  The local village pub offers meals and a large garden for children to play in.  Lulworth Cove lies to the East of the property and Weymouth Bay with its golden sands lies two miles to the West.  Please note: the property is approached via a short section of bumpy private unmade road which leads to a network of fabulous walks.  Ideal for dog walking, the property being situated well away from main roads. Pets are welcome and Overlond benefits from WIFI.
