I found this a real experience to be enjoyed. We visited on a wonderful summer’s day – perfect for exploring the surrounding farm before lunch. Welcomed with a drink of local `champagne’ style wine or homemade squash we were invited to explore the farm which comprised a mixture of animals and plants – the pigs were particularly popular. Lunch started with canapés including Ox heart which went down well with adults and children – more like steak. The main course was beef two ways – slow braised and rare roasted. The sticky toffee pudding which followed was devoured very quickly and was delicious. The afternoon was rounded off with a tractor ride back to the car park. This is a real treat for a special occasion lunch. If you’d like to visit for longer than lunch we have cottages in the area – http://www.dream-cottages.co.uk/cottage-search/dosearch//////SWEST///////////////// click on this link to see our cottages in South West Dorset.
